It cannot be that, a meele, I literally outline my enemy's silhouette with gunfire, even when the crosshairs are at the enemy's center of mass.

I can criticize that, and several design decisions. Indeed, it is the worst game of the original trilogy. SHOC gives it a thousand laps, and CoP too.

Anyway, I'll give it one last playthrough, and then I don't think I'll ever touch it. I'll just have to complete CoP and I'll be ready to play S2 HoC.

If I remember correctly, they are fish that live a long time, so the older specimens will have already been caught. We can only hope that the population will recover in a few decades if the regulations are complied with.

I remember my first time playing shadow of chernobyl shortly after release. I was poor and did a little yar-haring. Forced an old e-machine to run it. I got sub 10fps on minimal at low resolution. Never made it past cordon, but I was hooked. I had so much fun puttering around on a slide show when it rained at 2fps. It got me and I became such a huge fan even if I couldn't run the games.

Cut to like 2013 when I had a decent laptop that could run them. I bought the trilogy and never looked back.
