yes sorry, thats what I mean, like the crosses/graves and pipes that have the purple triforce icon on the map. I just can't open them unless I save and reload. I press F looking at them and it does nothing.

It always works after I load the save so it doesn't really matter, its just annoying

The only thing i can suggest is to try to open your invetory and then close it and then try to open the stash, since the general invetory interface of stalker is a buggy mess, especially in SOC, for example sometimes you may press to unload a rifle and the mousle click doesnt register.

Im not sure what could be causing the bug because it makes zero sense as to how that would happen besides stalker just being stalker but try every input variation, aka try not to croutch sprint and the likes, i know it sounds wierd but thats just the game derping out some times xD dont worry, after SoC the trilogy becomes noticably more stable.

Yeah its not really hard to mechanicaly improve upon SoC but i see where you are getting at,as for the upgrade system i usually dont like upgrade systems in FPS games since its just making guns objectively better, which kinda takes the fun out of it.In my opinion the faction war is overrated, at best its mediocre, it can be a buggy mess, i remember how much i struggled with freedom,due to their whole not moving in on the place i just overtook.I personally find CoP to be one of the better in the franchise,in the lore sense i can see why CS could be appealing since it focuses more on the factions,but a lot of it get glossed over, case in point the bandits, a very instresting faction by design,are just reduced to bad guys™️ ,as for duty and freedom its more or less the same except we actually get the lore directly from the game rather than what we can read in the SoC pda wiki.As for gunplay i view CoP as the better option, my main fault with it being that the guns lack a certain punch, feels like peashooters at times.I agree its more in line with the generic FPS story game genre, but that doesnt make it necesarrly bad, i find it wraps up the stalker trilogy nicely, and also expands upon the monolith and its future. TL:DR i think all the stalker games from the trilogy excell at a certain thing, to place one above the other would be splitting hairs, they each have their ups and downs.

I personally like the writting and the general gist of who the MP is, since it makes the military an actual viable faction instead of the bad guys who do bad things cause they are bad,as for the lore being rewritten it sort of has to be?Its the third installment thats meant to neatly wrap up the trilogy, cant exactly fabricate something new, i think the whole gist of CoP was to neatly wrap up the zone with the monolith gone and the loners starting to liberaye pripyat (liberating pripyat is not officially canon i know but hey you never know), i agree its not quite as "exciting" as SoC since all the factions arent genociding each other but by doing that it makes the faction members seem a lot more human instead of Duty Guy number #2 and Freedom guy #4 duking it out because they have diffrent colored suits.Also i really love what they did with the monolith, actually makes them human instead of innate enemies youre supposed to click on and not think much about.

Finished Call of Pripyat. Now i unlocked modification for the game.
Strange, but i think that original Shadow of Chernobyl is better game than Call of Pripyat. CoP is good in terms of exploring, quests, characters, and equipment features like repair and modifications. But for story its better to go in SoC. Also, i think original have better, visual interesting locations, in CoP they all just wide empty spaces with couple points of interest. The "Looting' also better in SoC, cause after couple of guns that little bit not that good to sell, i just stop pick them up, so there is no point, except heal items, to look inside enemies backpacks. Difficulty another "also better in SoC". Annoying when you dont have money and bullets in the beginning, but its a trial by fire, if you pass this, then you are Stalker. In CoP you can just abuse anomalies and gain money from air. You dont even need to fight for them, everybody is friendly with you and never attack first.
But game is good. I liked it.
