Metro should be a great fit for VR. Tight/Narrow areas and a lot more up close and personal action, which works well with current headsets. Lower FOV fits the game as well since you're wearing a mask.

I literally only bought my oculus for hla because the government was giving me money and i love half-life.. but it was cheap to get a used oculus rift 2 and got to play other weird games

having to buy a console, which is just a dumb computer and then dumb vr to play a game i really want too is harsher than oculus / hla stuff

valve sells a vr headset but you can still play HLA on any pcvr headset.. i hope 4A makes a couple bucks from whatever deal and then keeps going with what they're doing

yeh i was showing a mate how Stalker fanartists like to invent new anomalies and often make them more deadly because of the lack of restriction of game devving

like when devving a game you gotta make it fun and some anomalies in Stalker only work if you can say deactivate with a bolt (Electro, Gas), or use the grav as a slingshot to get out of it (Whirligig, Vortex)

Stealth in SoC can work tbh, but you need to tweak a lot of things to get correct stealth. Example: AI Distance for suppressed shots/bullet hits/bodies falling on ground/weapon of the enemy falling on ground, weapon sound detection level, AI reaction time, visibility through "transparent objects" like bushes, light factor etc. It just isn't worth the hassle

Just keep knifing. sooner or later that shield will be removed and burer might physically attack you

I think that in the book series it was described, that sometimes bloodsuckers would left its victim alive, to eat it later. Bloodsucker would simply brake victims legs and left her like that for days

However books aren't canon. And it wasn't said anywhere in the trilogy if bloodsuckers do the same thing in game(s)

Stalker games don't borrow much from it (it used to when the game was named Oblivion Lost while in development) but in the 80s a movie named Stalker was released by Tarkovsky which was rather a slow burn movie based on the book

As Val wouldn’t be a good choice bc of the rarity of the round irl. It’s a subsonic round afaik and it’s mostly used by spetsnaz. Ur best bet is an ak or an sks since u can conserve ammo better

Also say goodbye to repairing that thing bc it’s internally suppressed which is very complicated to work around

Id probably rock with an sks. It takes 7.62 ammo which is common in east Europe and it also helps with conservation of ammo

It’s also pretty easy to repair especially in east Europe

And for a pistol I’d go with either a makarov or a Glock
