Perhaps GSC could release a demo for those of us who pre-purchased the game. It would be a good way to motivate people to pre-purchase it, and on the other hand, it would help to make the wait until September more enjoyable.

I would like to play it, since I wasn't in a country that had that demo available. But they probably don't want what happened with the SoC demo where the community got into the files and started modding way before the games release, they turned the old cordon into a multiplayer map amongst other things and distributed the files, it didn't reflect well on GSC from a 'security standpoint?' could maybe be the term... even tho the community was ok with what they played.

Haven't watched the video of exactly what happened in quite a long while, so most likely be missing some more details of it 😅 .

There are several from 2015 to 2019

1 you can get at yellow excavator stash in Kopachy, another most likely will appear in Hermanns inventory after obtaining Research Assistant achievement and 1 Veles will be given to you from Beard after completing missing stalkers sidequest

Theres also a sidequest called "Theft" which can be activated after ordering a weapon from Nimble (doesn't matter what weapon you'll order). Basically after getting weapon from Nimble Snag will stop you and claim that gun was "stolem from him"

i habve terrible ADHD so i struggle with most games, especially RPGs but PoE's dialogue and text kept me pretty hooked but in BOTH of my 2 playthroughs I ended up rushing towards the end because I get bored and just want to finish the game 😰 i need to get rid of that habit because it ruins some games

So like: you have some levels or areas that are full horror, like the labs, and with mutants. When starting the side quest, it won't let me until I get a specific helmet to protect myself from the emmisions, since one of em requires me to have a specfic helmet type to protect myself, otherwise the quest won't start

Very worried. You need to babysit all 4 of them, keep them safe from tons of snorks and Monolith fighers (yeah Monolith members will appear in the tunnel, but a bit later, not in the very beginning)

If something you can drink vodka, or use anti rads and artifacts that give - radiation

Try to kill as many snorks, monolithians and hamsters (those little rodents) as fast as possible

Before starting that mission get a lot of ammo, fully repair your whole equipement, and get some medkits bandages and antirads

Hey guys Im new to STALKER and to modding Im hoping you guys can help me out with the situation that Im in. As you can see with the pic that I took this is what my task manager looks like while Im running the game. My CPU usage rate is super high while Im playing the game and my pc fan makes alot of noise while its running. Ive tried all the different ways to better optimize my FPS Ive disabled some mods that the guide said to disable, Ive lowered my visual settings of the game, and Ive even went to load up the game in dx9 to see if that would help but it didnt. After all the changes Ive made to get higher FPS Ive seen no difference like none at all even after everything I did my FPS is like at 5 FPS its so bad that I can hear the audio cutting off every couple of seconds cuz its so laggy. Theres no way after all the changes I made that my FPS is still that bad and hasnt changed. My specs are AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Eighht core processor for my CPU and for my GPU its AMD Radeon RX 580 and I have 16G of RAM with those specs my pc should be more than capable to run this game especially after everything I did please can anyone let me know how I can make my game not have memory usage super high while Im playing cuz my best guess would be thats why my game is hella laggy

But my first assumption could be that maybe it’s trying to render using your integrated graphics rather than the gpu

Two things

1. a lot of people hate GAMMA and EFP here so be careful haha
2. Gamma is well known to be unoptimized and pretty heavy (especially of the RAM and if you play it on an HDD) so that's not surprising if you have a SSD try instaling the game on it, otherwise i think your computer is just not good enough

But overall the best is to ask on the GAMMA server, maybe they can help you out !

On nvidia I can just toggle which it prefers to use through the nvidia control panel, but for Radeon I’m unsure. Best do some googling for how you prioritise the gpu on Radeon cards

I end up getting 100 fps consistently so I’d probably bet it’s a lack of graphics setting optimisation and maybe the system specs being a lil old

For me it's the spec + i'm sure at like 95% that Ge8 installed the game on a HDD (2060, i5 9600kf and 16gb of ram here, 50 fps with a lot of stutter while on my hdd and 70 fps without stutter on my SSD)

I wanted to ask about when I go to device manager on my pc and click on display adapters and click on the display adapter thats in there I right click it and it says I can enable it meaning it was disabled all this time I have no idea for how long. Since Idk much about computers I cant tell if that is where my GPU is and if it is what does it mean if its been diasbled all this time. Im asking cuz whenevr I load up STALKER even when I turn down the visual quality a lot the game is still hella laggy and in task manager while my game is running it says my CPU gets close to 100%. the most likely answer is taht a 1700X isnt good enuff to properly run EFP or GAMMA
Stalker isnt hard to run on accouint of the games being a decade old each

if its for every game then it might mean your pc isnt using your gpu to run the games

Of course make sure your DP cable is connected from your monitor to your gpu not your motherboard/case (I made that mistake the first time I built my pc)

When you bought your gpu it came with a specific cable, kind of like a hdmi cable but for computers. That cable has to go from your monitor to your gpu, it is most likely a DP cable, hence there will be slots in your monitor and gpu labeled for that cable
