With gamma you get the storylines like in the trilogy, the vibes and climate, the lore is extended and on top of it you get more like better ai, longevity, better graphics, bugfixes, extended weaponry, better survival experience, balanced gamelan where you don't simply run for 20 artifacts and get everything you want for selling them, you get the sandbox and role-playing experience.. but you're right.. just because it's modpack and it's more challenging and more developed it's nothing like stalker.
