The music was incorporated seamlessly in the experience, just like GSC told me in the interview. It was so well made in fact, that I did not even notice it at first. Basically there are many types of music that change naturally depending on what is happening, like a calm tune for exploring, a more dynamic one for combat, etc. I believe sound design was good, just like it is in the trailers, though I'm not an auditory expert (I actually have pretty bad ears).

Oh, this is good. Ambient was a massive part of the atmosphere in OG games. I know they released some tracks long ago, but I didn't like them, so I really was curious how good the ambient will be.
Also how would described gunplay and overall weapon feel in the game? To what another fps game can you compare it?

I think it is quite similar to the original games. I can't really compare it to anything else, as I haven't played a new release in 7 years.

It was not only the gunplay though, pretty much everything felt like the OGs but hugely upgraded, it just felt right to play for me

Yes. You know, there were some things I did not really like when analyzing the trailers, but once you are actually immersed playing the game these were quickly forgotten. For example, I'm not too fond of the new design for the looting screen, which is an easy thing to say when dissecting the trailers frame by frame. However it did not bother me at all while playing, now I feel like I was just neat picking.

I mean obviously it would be very bad in place like the Zone but for example some stalkers could be using things such as wet wipes, hand sanitizer and stick deodorant without perfume (perfume might attract insects and bloodsuckers). as for water they could probably just have water systems rebuilt and filtered. Plus we know the Zone doesn't operate the same way as reality due to many things so by all rights, so they could have the filter replaced with the anti rad remover artifacts. So I'd figure it kinda depends on faction, area, and all. Famous areas like Rostok probably could have facilities, but even then, stalkers would probably in the field not have great hygiene

I don’t assume that much of the water in the Zone itself is good to bathe in. afaik military doing field operations would usually just use baby wipes or would make a “field shower” by using a knife to cut a small X in the cap and dump it. Half to wet themselves, wash, the other half rinse and then dry off but we hardly ever ran out of water. Maybe they would say maybe at the larger bases they could collect rainwater or something for showers. I bet a STALKER who got a shower stall running in Rostok could make some decent money.

I think they could, but I also wonder how often it would actually get some use though. I mean, come on, your average stalker is out and about finding artifacts, why waste good ruble or Hryvnia on a shower when you are going to be smelly after your next expedition again. Though one could argue that eliminating bad smells makes it easier to befriend others and, so long as your are not scented, hunting mutants.

But I bet Master Stalkers are living it up. The ecos as well. Monolith most likely just get decontaminated once after brainwashing and that, as they say, is that.

Oh... maybe stalker suits helps eliminate bad smells because they need to be air tight anyways.

Basically Strelok, Fang and Ghost managed to get to the center of the Zone somehow (maybe from the underground), then they had to retreat and C-Con unleashed the huge emission we see in the first scene of Clear Sky in hopes to stop/kill the trio

That huge emission was said to be the second large emission. It triggered events of Clear Sky

Then Scar was found by Clear Sky faction and I suppose you know what happens next

Also that huge emission blocked paths to known places (for example Rostok. NPCs in CS might mention that Rostok became uneccessable due to anomalies) while places that weren't explored and/or even known, like Limansk and Red Forest became accessable

this is correct. Monolith was a faction before they became brainwashed with very similar beliefs. They believed that at the center of the zone lied a figure of great power, the Monolith. Because of their belief of the Monolith, and wanting to finally come into contact with it, they all went to the center of the zone together. That was the last time they were seen until Clear Sky, iirc. There is actually a bit more to that then I can remember off the top of my head, but I do recall they were seen as a bit fanatical even before brainwashing, but at least they were friendly, trying to convert people and stuff like on missionary.

We already know what Scar can do since we played as him in Clear Sky, while Charon is also very skilled and dangerous individual since he has Expert rank and very high reputation

Vintar is not very commonly used but its not used only by Scar and Charon either. Streloks savior also had Vintar

its just that it tries to be a survivalist take on CoP but it never,enforces that mindset after the first few minutes of the game really,after you get a good weapon all the difficulty just evaporates and all that you have left is,quite a boring experience,since farming for artifacts is easier than ever too
NLC7 or Prossectors is a way better representation on how to do this idea
