I can be wrong but it shouldn't change much since the engine is the same (Xray), the only difference is that CoP has the latest version of it.
In theory CoP, but still among all games right this one is the one affected with stuttering (SoC and CS not at all in comparison or at least never had this issue like I'm having now).

You should play vanilla first or at least get mods that doesn't affect the main story, if you want to do it before S2 comes out imho.

Modding is not recommended for newcomers and it is heavenly advised for your to play the games first before venturing into that side
But SoC usually is for older mods while CoP has a lot newer story mods

if I had to boot up again SoC/CS that I already played and choose to have the background music enabled I'd be probably surprised hearing it for the first time, since I always went without it, for immersion reasons, and I'm doing the same with CoP, so...

All of this to say that It doesn't mean it must be at the level of an orchestra to fit the game or make it "worth" enough to play it

There are many games that have absolutely cool soundtracks (e.g. Risk of Raind) despite not having hyper realistic graphics. So it's more like very good soundtracks can make games far more enjoyable to play, but definitely not that it requires AAA Wiener Philharmoniker as a must.

And usually music doesn't translate that well in games like stalker that are irl simulation games first and foremost.

Stalker Gamma is a separate entitiy to Stalker
they arent at all equal and I treat them as separate games for that,it is healthier this way,you should be separating large scale mods from the game especially since Anomaly is so warped from what stalker is that it doesnt matter,its its own entitity

and no you really dont need to play multiple times to really get the full experience
