i have the trilogy of stalker and i once tried to play it just to stop playing after a couple hours because i just couldn't get into a game so old ( yup guilty, it looked too old, weapons with no recoil, bad textures etc ). is there like a mod compilation or something to make the first game ( and maybe then all 3 ) better looking and improved in general ?

Anoamly is its own experience (standalone mod) that does not offer real stalker experience and only imitates a cheap copy of Shadow of Chernobyl's story.
Gamma is a mod pack for Anomaly.
You should definitely play the trilogy in order by release date (SoC > CS > CoP) before trying any major mods

I replayed whole triology few days ago, I've only gotten 2 crashes in clear sky after doing funky stuff with artifacts in high psy areas (you probably won't do this so don't expect crashes)
In shadow of Chernobyl I accidentally skipped out a Pripyat stadium section,
And call of Pripyat is just clean

Only on my first ever playthrough of soc and cs back when I had a even worse laptop than now (now I have 124mb of vram, i5 gen 8 and 8gbram) I had more crashes due to my laptop not being to handel electric anomalies and the games well, and I was only able to run cop 12fps max

This is an except of a review I found on amazon:

"It is a great read [...] If you are expecting "S.T.A.L.K.E.R Game The Book" you will be heavily disappointed. It has the Zone(not in Ukraine), anomalies, artifacts, and stalkers. That's it. Everything else you associate with the game was added by GSC."

I'm still interested in reading it nonetheless.
P.S: because there are 2 versions of it, I also found out that it seems:

Ms Bormashenko's translation is not only more fluid and true to the Russian, but is correct -- the earlier translation has errors, like replacing "thirteen years" with "thirty years" in the Prelude.

Actually the more weight you carry, the shorter length you can run at once. Depending on which game/mods you play, endurance can change with some armors and artefacts as far as I can remember.

I believe the gravi artefact increases your carry weight by 30kg. The exo suit also increase your carry eight by 20kg I believe. The suit alone is 20 or 25kg tho.

Best you can do is try to find, moonlight, flash or sparkler from artifacts for more endurance (stamina)

And as for inventory weight, ditch the pistol. They are beyond useless, just take two rifles, preferably one that is auto and a VSS vintorez that would serve as a sniper, from there just get 800 ammo for vintorez and 600 for other gun, rest of inventory should be filled up with medkits and bandages, even at the near end of stalker soc I had like 700+ total ammo left so you don't need to over prepear for the ending

go at it slowly if you arent confident and use quick saves frequently (f6 to save f7 to load)
once you feel more attuned to it all you can experiment with the movement more

In soc you can't increase inv weight with arti, you can only by equipping exoskeleton but you trade of running, you can also get a 5 moonlights and just switch between exoskeleton and some other suit, that way you could theoretically carry 59.9 kg without being too slow

Tbh you don't need more than 500 ammo to get from bar to cnpp (true ending)

You just need good aim and a VSS vintorez

You want to kill snorks? Just aim for the head and keep your distance form them. Shoot and run. Try and find something to hide behind as they initiate their leap. Running away will force them to move back and forth (as they try to return to their set smart terrain/gulag).
