i was interested enough in the lore to not mind the npc infodumps at all, i think Forrester is a pretty interesting character and main plot conflict got me fairly invested for it being a prequel and all

my only real problem with clear sky that’s not just slavjank is the excessive focus on faction wars/shootouts and being a little bit all over the place tonally (I like stalkers acting a little goofy, but the way NPCs act in general make the zone feel a lot less Lovecraftian as a setting compared to SHoC, which gave the setting the tonal weight it deserves while having appropriate amounts of humor and charm dashed in)

No, the Season Pass is used in almost all games, it means that when a DLC comes out, you own it from the release if you have the Season Pass

The recommended order, which is the order the games released in, is Shadow of Chernobyl, followed by Clear Sky, and then Call of Pripyat.

I just like the atmosphere and the story better in SoC than CoP but gameplay wise I prefer CoP by a long shot it was really good.

I think there's a mod for SoC to make it like CoP? Maybe

It is pitch black in Clear Sky when its night, your flashlight barely does anything

You need to see.. anomalies, enemies, and get a general idea where the radioactive area is and where it is non existent

Yeah, you're pretty much still just facing just bandits and weaker mutants at this point so the double barrel is nice. It definitely becomes less effective and less common later on in the game when facing more armored enemies
