This is the only thing of Freedom's goals I am against (for now). People come to the Zone armed, because they're scared of what they'll meet. Unfortunately, if that means a blind dog comes on their path, the duder will shoot the blind dog and just anger the Zone. So, without you knowing, you already made your first enemy. Of course, now that the Zone is full with Stalkers which have fought the mutants for a long while, it might be a bit hard to suddenly create a more neutral relation with the Zone

Still, Shamans exist and they're living peacefully within the Zone

And Freedom only kills mutants in self-defense

I mean, the stupidest piece of dialogue I've seen was one of a Dutyer, who argued that, if a robber broke into your house, wouldn't you attack the robber? In this case, he referred the Zone as the robber. In fact, it's the Stalkers who broke into the Zone. We're the ones who broke in, yet it's willing to coexist with some of the Stalkers. It's pretty interesting

If you want to learn more about the Zone, I suggest you to find Hermit. Of course, it's up to you what you believe. In fact, that's kinda what he talks about

I've been reading about the plot of STALKER Mobile. It is actually quite interesting! It gives a bit of context about STRELOK's origin, and how he was a veteran of the Afghanistan War. You also see how he met Ghost, why he doesn't trust scientists... and his relationship with The Zone. In a PDA note that appears in the game (written by him) he talks about how The Zone has life, and that it has a "heart"... I don't know, but I think that, beyond the fact that it's not canon, GSC could have recycled (or at least been inspired by) certain concepts from this game for the sequel. I mean, there's a theme from the STALKER 2 soundtrack called "Zone Dreams", alluding to The Zone as an entity with a life of its own, and a complexity greater than the sum of its parts... I think something is brewing about this, but we'll only know when STALKER 2 comes out.
