I think that the problem is that they want more hardcore, and more problems, so that the game looks like a simulator and not like an arcade CS, personally I would like weapon modding like that

Yeah, I can see where they are going in that regard. But the engine can’t handle what they truly want. It’s a very old engine and it’s very hard to sculpt it into some modern concept of realism

Weapon modding is cool, but we will need to wait until stalker 2 until those types of mods can kick off

I've played more SOC than I have anomaly and the difference is huge. Anomaly seems entirely reliant on the randomness to create interesting moments, but ultimately it's just repeating the same tasks over and over but in different locations, and loot progression feels weak. I love how SOC has you doing different things, from organising an ambush, defending against a raid, rescuing a hostage and more. Just feels like there's more substance

Stalker was not really easy tbh? Unless you chose to play novice in your first playthrough? I kinda went veteran in my first go and it was Hella scary to deal with lol. Stalker was really a milstone in gaming industry and many other game devs did inspire from what it provided at that time.

You can wait and pre order whenever you want before the release, as long as your not trying to get the limited physical editions, you need to be quick for those. There is no early access of the game, nor will there be, there is only the build we don't talk about in here, but you need not worry yourself about that.
