i really hope the sequels aren't as buggy as this game

i have a couple screenshots. right now the most annoying bug is entering an area and none of the npcs spawn in, so i walk around and then i realize that i'm stuck behind an npc who doesn't move because i walked past him when he wasn't spawned in

and also the cutscene in the underground when you go back bugged out, the npc in that scene didn't spawn in so i was soft-locked, had to reload the area save

Are you running vanilla or modded? I highly recommended using zrp. It’s a community made patch that fixes a lot of the bugs

Fair enough but the devs kind of abandoned the original games and left them with many bugs. With ZRP it will be the same as vanilla with a lot less bugs. There are additional features you can turn on but they aren’t needed. It should be compatible with your saves too

Have you guys tried adjusting the Mod sliders? I'm playing through GAMMA right now and got sick of every gun being under 20% health on pick up sonI adjusted it so every gun has the possibility of being 100% but based on the level of AI dude it could be as low as 50%

If I'm expected to have a fully functioning gun that still jams at 70% but AI can shoot all day without issue and their gun is picked up at 20% that's a bunch of bs

We worked on weapons from the Armed Zone mod and ported a selection of weapons, mostly chosen by the community + my personal choices

The work was kinda rushed so, it was badly implemented at first, but I fixed it with patches and by the last release, all was fully done.

there's something you can use to adjust the amount of ammo found on stalkers, but it's awkward. like even if you crank it up they have no ammo most of the time and then sometimes they have like 50+ rounds

that said it evens out if you use semi auto and have the damage multiplier set high enough, you can kinda coast on scaveneged ammo if you are going after high enough tier enemies

gamma does a little bit more than that, it turns stalker into more of a survival game with more crafting, it has over 300 mods which change the game completely
also yeah play the originals first, but don't make it forced or anything. I don't think there is a problem with jumping into gamma if you feel like it, it will be overwhelming but you will get the hang of it. You will just miss a whole lot of lore, but even I played a bit of SoC, and CoP, and just watched a few lore videos and know everything about the zone and I feel comfortable just playing gamma. Stalker is really what you make out of it

the thing is stalker 2 has 2 ways:

1. it will be more than just SoC but in modern, it will go into areas that haven't been explored in vanilla stalker before, like crafting and survival aspects, making it feel more like gamma.

2. It will be modern SoC and flesh out the gameplay instead of adding too much new stuff, to avoid straying away too much from the formula

Personally I would love it if they'd take some inspiration from gamma and all the mods that people made
either way I'm looking forward to it
