The most likely theory on that is that Marked One's pda was not actually his. It belonged to Scar and he picked it up in the death truck or before. If you all remember, Scar was chasing strelok in CS and the game ended the way it did. The ending cutscene did show something that highly suggests my theory is true. I do not wish to put spoiler for the guy. But I need to put this right. At the end of CS Scar did end up in a room along side with other stalkers and strelok. It must be then were pdas got mixed up. There is also a fair chance it was the death truck, but that suggests Scar's death.

Im new to stalker and just got all three games, i wanna start with the first game but i also want it to feel more modern and not so dated, specifically with the gunplay and gun textures and possibly stealth mechanics, anyone got any recommendations for a mod or modpack or whatever i should download? Im not looking to stray too far from the vanilla quests and stuff but not opposed to big packs that add quests.

stealth is not really a thing due to the engine, but it is "possible" to do that in vanilla, my suggestion is to give it a shot with vanilla first
