Last time I played soc I sided with freedom and destroyed the whole of rostok coz all the potato loners think duty is a good ally when they don't even realise they want to destroy all their ways of making money

It's only possible to side with freedom if u have the VSO mod trying to do it without mods will break ur game and u will be stuck and won't be able to finish the game as destroy duty company is a broken mission

It was actually the first time I ever modded a game it opened a new door for me

I highly recommend playing radiophobia 3 as u can join the bandits it's harder than OG soc but u get alot of cut content so its worth playing

Instead of getting the documents for miracle machine u get the option to steal them for borov (bandit leader) as a bandit initiation quest I understand why it was cut because of how difficult it is to steal from 100 rads bar but its all worth it trust me

shooting bursts and singles doesnt exactly improve accuracy but stopping and crouiching to low crouching improves accuracy

For GAMMA it’s indeed an issue that I’m trying to fix with various edits… for instance next patch will have auto looting and automatic good guns parts extraction from NPCs inventory.

The idea is to reduce the time where you manage your inventory. Carry weight is easier to manage as well once you start cooking 🙂 .

But a little bit of inventory management is inevitable when you dive in survival / crafting mechanics I guess

“The Zone is Open” is bullcrap from the mod you installed.

At this point the game should just end, go to credits and then to main menu. There isn’t any freeplay in SoC or CS.

I think I analysed the code and the initial intended behaviour was related to the megaphone in some way, like there’s a code that disables the minigunner if you shoot the megaphone before they alert everybody.

Unfortunately it does not fully work as the alerts are not played through the megaphone, but this seems to be the initial idea.

Another thing about stationary minigun is that it uses sniper piercing ammo so you can’t really hide behind trees.

But this seems to be intentional, going back to August 2007 build.

Idk how it was playtested though, there are zero reports about minigunner in the issue tracker from testers.
