yeah, it didn't feel close to as epic as Limansk/Hospital/CNPP in Clear Sky and the Brain Scorcher/Pripyat/CNPP of Shadow of Chernobyl, i personally don't care much for the Pripyat part of Call of Pripyat and feel like the whole 'anomalies move after emissions' makes complete sense but realistically the military would already know that

Yeah it was surprising because I found the gameplay to be more polished and "full" (don't shoot me CS fans) but the ending was by far the least epic and interesting. I really liked the Pripyat atmosphere a lot, was the only part of the series where I was spooked in outdoor levels. Loved the music too

in SoC,having artifacts spawn anywhere requires you to search the maps for them,they arent concentrated in one single field and they arent easy to be farmed,at least the ones you want,thus they can be stronger,and are actually useful in SOC

honestly,the best implementation I can think of is merging both approaches,make small pockets of anomalies where very low level low cost artifacts spawn so the player has something to farm but have the higher quality artifacts spawn randomly on the ground regardless of position,and remove the need for detecors to get artifacts,make detectors detect anomalies

maybe if they only detected anomalies and they spawned in anomaly fields you'd have to explore difficult areas more too
