Why are you so dismissive about faction failing in most instances? How do you think collapses happen in real world? It'd be one thing if the reasons for that were "they stoopid", but no, FNV brings up real life political analogies and reasons for all of that. Where's the poor writing?

in others you will have 2
but thats fine,except the game is now about and only about handcrafted quests taht will always happen at defined times and defined cell locations taht nothing can change or touch,thus making the world feel empty,small and dead
nothing will happen outside what is supposed to,no dog eating a corpse or a stalker running about since A-Life was dumbed down a lot,we cant have anything touching these quests now can we
they have further innutilized the artifact system and made the upgrade system overpowered
the balancing is better
the maps feel deader than in the other games since theyre a collection of cell's with nothing in beetween and without meaningfull A-life to populate them
the stalkers you meet are now overglorified guides
the writting of factions and general lore has taken a huge step down as well
a bunch of visual effects from CS weren't optimized they were straight cut to improve preformance which is well enuff

I most times equate CoP with a haunted house at a carnival,a one trick pony,a one ride wonder,at your first time,you'll see all the things and marvel at them,but there is nothing new,nothing tangible,SoC will have stuff different when I play it again,a stalker might scare me,something happens that I wasnt expecting and it keeps stuff new,fresh,it makes the world itself feel almost alive,CoP is the complete opposite,I know that the world will be exactly the same as I left it if I wait 5 years or 30 minutes,its central to the major and as such feels small
CoP is a good game by itself but I cant help but feel like it betrayed the series starting want,to make a simulation that was truly alive

meanwhile I have always seen these stalkers in CoP in the same positions and always run to the same shelters
yes,SoC doesnt have taht much change in A-Life but its more,and CoP instead of deepening that change instead makes everything as predictable as ever and cuts back even more on the A-Life bet

i think that was just your experience because a life in my gameplays has been everchanging a good example of that for me is the crane close to skadovsk that is always changing from mutant filled to stalker location to bandit location(similar to CS) and i see that happening in several places ex:cement factory in jupiter,anywhere close to anomalies in jupiter cus of freedom and duty,that village the chimera was at in zato,chemical bath in jupiter etc...
