First things first, install pre-requisites if you didn't. Older games and newer hardware.... pre-requisites means Visual C++ Redistributable, etc

1. Lack of content, every single quest is randomly generated and there are only 5 different types at best. Not to mention the balance here is terrible so you could actually get a randomly generated quest from Cordon all the way to freaking pripyat that gives you close to nothing, or you can get a quest that pays well, takes 10 minutes tops to compete and has almost no risk
2. Huge amount of filler items or just worthless extras that don't have any gameplay advantages and could be removed easily, there are 30 medical items but you only need to use one to heal. Mods make this worse by making other healing items mandatory if you want to reach full HP so it's a matter of choosing a volcano or the gates of hell
3. Unbalanced, annoying mechanics. Repairing weapons manually is only a hundred or so rubles cheaper than just repairing them using a technician, even though it's much harder to find the repair parts than rubles
4. Crappy progression, since progression is the only real gameplay element here you'd expect it to be good, but nah. A lot of weapons and armor are useless and the game gives you too much money. You can get endgame gear by mid game
5. Bad artifact system, I'll admit the artifact container was a cool idea, but the artifacts themselves are not. They're not balanced well and rely on randomness so you can get bad artifacts at late game places, and good artifacts at early game areas. Their stats aren't fun either and are somehow worse than the vanilla games or mods like NLC 7

Not really. The only tip I can give is that the dudes with pistols can be given Viper-5 smgs that they'll be able to keep if their pistol caliber matches the gun's

So in other words a guy with a PMm will always be able to reload a converted to 9x18 Viper-5, and the dudes with 9x19 pistols will always be able to reload regular Viper-5s

what I usually do to be 100% certain is prepare the SMGs, then take a task to take a problematic outpost, and as they head over there, drop the SMGs to appropriate noobies

you should use the mod that fixes the respawn abuse of bandits because regardless of the weapon you give, if you are far away, the combat will be offline

I guess it's a bug specifically with loner and that base even with SRP.. if anyone knows a mod let me know otherwise I may switch factions or just ignore FW and get through the story

Been ranting on and off here but because I picked loner and there's no way to take the bandit base for good..

Spent way too long securing it but they just started spawning randomly again and the more I search, the more it's just broken (with specifically bandits in the depot), even with mods that bugfix

FW is broken, nothing you can do

As Freedom i wasn't even able to capture two of Argoprom's entrances and start the attack

Also most of the go to A bring me B quests are broken which is a shame

depends on play style but I always buy a CS-3a and spec it out with the combat helmet special upgrade,others use the cardan special upgrade on a custom exosqueleton but you cant go wrong

idk nimble probably wouldn't replace sidorovich, but I wouldn't be surprised if nimble is going to be more of a high quality weapons dealer while sid is going to deal more in general goods

Im not too worried,from how GSC speaks of the old games and refuses to put mechanics a lot of fans want bc it isnt in line with what they envision of the game that is in line with the old ones,its obvious they have a lot of respect for SoC and CS as well as CoP,Im sure theyll do a good job of continuing them rather than throwing em into fire and just doing the total opposite

yes, I'm optimistic about it which is weird because I'm typically not optimistic about new games, as long as they take their time to make a finished stalker experience, add cool new lore and anomalies, and still understand where they came from (all of which gsc seems to be doing) then the new game should be fine
