this is the first rule of cs and you have to learn it fast, the factions are in total war advancing and retreating and will not wait for the player to take action you are just a pawn. you're just at the begginning you can make a new game and try to take the first objectives again.

i mean its just a small quest and i went back and fixed it but there's like a bunch to do at once.. im guessing losing sidequests is just part of the game?

these sides are different from those of the soc, they are points to be captured, war objectives to be fulfilled. you cannot complete all war objectives, so always plan your next step well and remember you are not a hero, wait for support from allied squads

cs has a unique atmosphere, it makes you feel in a real conflict in the zone each advance can have very heavy costs and each enemy counterattack can be heavier than the previous one and you have to think far beyond the local combat and see the gap to capture the next point until it becomes a steamroller against the enemy faction, that's why cs is my favorite

Yeah I'm just try to take it in, lol when I see "capture church cancelled" the RPG person trying to 100% side quests gets worried but yeah I'm just going to play it and can always play it again
