There's not, Anomaly has a main story but it's not the same as SoC it's its own generic story and does have dynamic quests, i strongly suggest you to also try out STALKER CS and CoP, if you haven't tried it out already.

Shadow of Chornobyl: Zone reclamation project only, that way you keep a clear idea of the original stalker experience but squash a lot of the bugs

Clear Sky: Arsenal Overhaul does WONDERS to the experience. That's all I needed to have a blat

I had maybe a smidge of enjoyment when clearing dead city of mercs as SIN, but it was immediately soured as I had to play an escort mission and an emission starts right as its the middle of the night, so I have to charge through chimera etc in red forest, camp out at the limansk bridge tower with some random NPC for 4 hours straight because no way in hell was I dragging this guy through pitch black, all the while fending off random mutants that just somehow miraculously knew we were up there. every time I play loner, some random npc spawn is there to screw up wolf's quest, or something goes wrong that shouldnt have gone wrong, and when i get past it i lose all urge because i see it wants me to walk halfway across the map and it's not exactly the pinnacle of fun when you're playing the worst mod known to man. i don't know who thought the gun system was a good idea but yikes. I think the prices ingame are a little more reasonable after doing a few quests, but still ridiculous. vanilla gameplay is just all the less obnoxious. i want to play stalker, not tarkov :P

It being a fetch quest makes sense in this case, nobody but the most stubborn would try to piece together where this klondike is because of how long it would take. Usually fetch quests suck because they bring you a subpar reward for the the time you invested getting something, not the case here.

The crafting system sucks but the repair system as a concept is cool,they just innutelized it by requiring too much stuff to actually use and making the loot pool so big you'll never find what you need
Streamline it so you can actually use it while retaining the system and option to repair is the best way to go about it
