Many of the devs are also "former" fans from the franchise working amongst older devs from GSC. The signs (and every teaser/trailer) are good to believe this is a work of passionate people who wants to do it right. No one wants a Stalker 2 Ubisoft-like, that's for sure 🙂

Yep, i'm personnally doing cardiac coherence, it's a simple breathing exercise, sitting on a chair in silence, 5 minutes 3 times a day (theorically, if you can), you breath in 5 seconds and out 5 seconds. it has a lot more complex gameplay mechanics and tends to be harder than the OG games, if you're looking for an expanded experience tha introduces micromanaging elements and aims to give more immersion, it's the thing for you then

if you'd like a different experience that still holds vanilla gameplay, then i guess you should look for something else

other than that, try it yourself

i recommend modding it with addons that makes your gameplay more comfortable

you will get bored if you're looking for a compelling campaign, its very "roam the world as a nobody" in my opinion. there are questlines, they just lack the weight and emphasis of the originals since theyre all optional and typically without the voiced/scripted encounters. the survival aspects are highly elevated compared to the vanilla series. there's some extra mechanics youll have to look up for a second so you know what you're doing. i've been having a lot of fun with the GAMMA modpack for anomaly.

I am personally a slut for shadow of chernobyl, and Radiophobia 3 has really felt like a spiritual remaster. I can't say anything about Clear Sky but I recommend gunslinger for call of pripyat
