I have an NVIDIA RTX 4070 (12gb of GDDR6x VRAM) a Ryzen 7 7700x CPU with no boost, and 32gb of dual stick DDR5 RAM, and without DLSS the game runs at about 30-50fps on 1080p high area depending, but I’ve had friends with worse specs say it runs fine. Is my system just bugging somewhere or are they lying?

DLSS renders the game at a lower rez and upscales it to your monitors resolution in a native-like image
but DLSS quality at 1440p means you are rendering at 960p, actually, which is not any heavier than native 1080p

I keep my drivers all up to date so it’s not a driver date issue

so it might be worth exploring older drivers

AFAIK 566.36 is their most stable driver (from 1 year ago) tho 577.idk drivers also are pretty stable AFAIK

if a game doesnt have vulkan by default on windows then you have to install DXVK and force dx11 through launch options

So you have any tune/undervolt/oc set in adrenalin? Have you ever had Nvidia in this computer before this amd card? Did you use DDU before installing radeon card if so? If not, try AMD Cleanup Utility or DDU whichever you like more. I prefer cleanup utility personally. It just removes all graphics drivers & adrenalin, then freshly installs whatever driver you select.

I do AMD Cleanup Utility for every driver release & havent had any timeout other than when i pushed undervolt/oc too far

@hollow kettle used amd cleanup utility since i had rx 6800xt, switched to rx 9070xt, did not do any tunning, I did play only couple of games like path of exile 2, works fine, fellowship (also UE5 game), Civ 6 and tested a little bit of Cyberpunk, seems only Stalker has an issue. Do you use adrenaline fsr or you use older fsr 3.1 in game?

i updated from windows 10 like not even a month ago, maybe a couple of weeks ago, have the latest version and all the updates 😄 sometimes the game will play for hour, 2 3, and bam driver time out, sometimes it will crash sooner, only tsr seems stable and I hate tsr upscaling 😄

ok, so it is not a frame gen thing, it would crash on old gpu as well. I use freesync, monitor is also 180hz 😄 but since i use fsr native i have around 140fps/150fps, ryzen 7 5700X3D, ddr4 32gb ram, cl 16, 3200mhz

ram and cpu were there from the begining only gpu is new 😄

cant tell u numbers right now but from i tested days ago, fsr native, textures epic, everything else high, around 150fps is average, some places go up to 165frames in nature for exaple or in open, bases go around 120,130 since well npcs are crap, psu uses 2x8pins since thsat is what gpu needs, it is rx 9070xt xfx swft card a bit less hungry model, around 300 watts in full load, have 750wats gpu, did monitor power consumption with hwinfo or what ever it was called, all was fine, whole system pulled around 450/60 watts in full load, i mean even if it reached 500w which it never showe there is around 250/300 left to use 😄

i play path of exile that uses gpu and cpu like crazy no issues 😄 even cyberpunk seems fine, I would guess that that if psu could not hanlde it , it would go down in a game like cyberpunk since that game just rapes the hardware 😄

If you roll back drivers be aware of whatever game support is in the current drivers you might lose for fsr I think

I don’t get why the B580 is called obsolete on day one. It’s actually good for its price range, and for around half a year it was the only GPU in that class with that level of performance. The drivers have improved a lot too in 2025. Saying that nobody wants it doesn’t really make sense, because it’s a new GPU brand that had problems early on, and some of them are still there, but the same could be said about AMD.

They also have their 18A process coming early this year with Panther Lake. Working samples were already shown back in October 2025, so they don’t look bad at all. They’re not the best yet, but compared to one or two years ago they’ve improved a lot. Improving faster than the others doesn’t mean they already have to be better than everyone else. It just means they’re making real progress toward a good product.

That’s what makes them the company that improved the most in 2025 of the 3.

Wow guys if you ever want to play anamoly or gamma definitely check it out on GOG. It is so easy bro one click mod pack. I just downloaded and installed same as a normal game. It set up the mod organizer 2 for me and everything completely. Man that is so nice compared to when I did it all manually last time. And the graphics & mechanics are actually gamma this time. Looks really good, and runs good. Surprisingly. I cranked the settings to max besides MSAA lol

I technically tried it yesterday, perf was terrible, i havent a clue what im doing tho, i assume it should be faster
Text to image was as good as useless ofc, tho using an AI upscaler on old images worked fine

So far it seems to work pretty nicely for me, I can tell that motion handling is a bit better but not much else

Performance wise, with preset M + DLSS Performance at 4K it's roughly similar to 4K Balanced on DLSS 4. So the 3080 should be fine with 4.5 given this info, that and 4.5 really isn't meant for Balanced/Quality settings right now

According to the Optiscaler menu there's a ~2ms penalty by switching to M versus K
