So I had bought the game last night after it leaving gamepass, I was able to play just fine when it was on there but after they took it off and I bought a copy the game keeps crashing at startup. I looked around online and aloot of people were saying delete the ~mods folder in the pak files of the games directory. But the problem is, I dont have a mods folder anywhere in my game files.

Ok I refunded the game on the xbox app and bought it on steam. It boots up perfectly fine.

Added some optimization mods for rtx2060 and very very little to no stuttering, everything loads no issue and resolution stays solid.

Fast VA is good. Fast ips also good. I saw a KTC Fast VA 1440p 27" Mini LED with 1152 dimming zones and HDR1400 last week on amazon for around $300. I am sure it isnt that cheap anymore, but if I couldn't afford an OLED I would definitely go for Fast VA mini led. Or even IPS if you dont mind worse contrast & hdr

Just set Adrenalin fsr4 override toggle in global options. Then launch the game and load up your save. Make sure fsr 3.1 is selected in game and it should automatically override to fsr4 for you.

Also, did you make sure to use DDU to remove old graphics drivers before installing new for 9070xt?

Bc that can cause issues sometimes if you do not ddu

The fsr4 upgrade usually will not show active until you are fully in gameplay

But yeah OptiScaler is better for everything that has no anticheat

i have used ddu before yes 🙂 and than new driver for the 9070xt. what do you mean with global option ? i use it the first time. I Choose FSR3.X/4 for upscale and under FFX Settings there is FSR 4.0.2 than by Frame Generation i would only try and setup to OptiFG and under FSR Common Settings there is by default "Use FSR Input Values".

You can increase the contrast a bit and set the sharpness to around 40~. above 50 everything becomes grainy, below 30 everything becomes mushy. 🤷‍♂️

I tried it a while back on the legion go, and while technically playable it was struggling hard. The game is severely cpu bound, so expect lengthy load time, frame dips while traversing the zone, significant input latency and unstable frame rates in the mid 30s no matter the settings. If you're ok with capped 30fps then maybe, but personally I don't think the Legion is a good fit for the game unless streaming it from a more powerful desktop.

No, not particularly. These so-called “optimization” mods do nothing more then make the game run worse, even if you think it runs better they don’t. I’ve extensively tested these mods across all kinds of titles and the result is the same.

They’re a placebo effect and most of the commands they’re using in these games often don’t even work because they’re not using the correct parameters.

Day’s Gone has some mods like this though the game is pretty light so I’m not sure why you’d need it but it’s interesting most of them don’t work, like at all. Last I checked anyway because Sony Bend uses UE4 but it uses a modified version of UE4 and every single command has to have bend.(insert command here) which most of these mod developers aren’t aware of. They’re just copying and pasting these commands from a different game and posting up on The Nexus.
