XeSS is more stable,has better fine detail reconstruction and has better AA, but it runs worse than FSR (not very significant) and it is too blurry for my taste

TSR is terrible for the most part
dissoclusion artifacts everywhere and also a weird bug that makes everything grainy AF if i stand in one place for too long

Idk man to me all i had to do is to disable Nvidia's overlay, just a switch from on to off and the game is stable with DLSS Quality and FG on 3440x1440 all settings on EPIC.

I play it for 2-3hrs no crash, and even if will crash after 4-5hrs is no problem, at least i can play it well. But i seen some has crash after crash in few minutes of gameplay.

Even crazy is to set the HDR settings to please your eyes because even if you have a 1400 - 1600 nits display it still looks like crap on default HDR settings, took me like 20 mins to play with settings to get it right. lol

I figured out if I spawn in and immediately sprint far away from that location I got memory leak it fix it. I was able to play for three hours after that. I just couldn’t go back to that location lol

Yeah I have 1150 nits but it only let me go to 1000 max for some reason. But I set contrast 75%, brightness 35%, gamma 11%, HDR brightness 35 and black level -5.

Looks very good now

No the game is busted at 1000 limit, and there is monitors who can do more than that like mine at 1400 nits native.

I use SDR for desktop and HDR in games i put a alt+F2 shortcut to activate HDR when i want it.

I did play last night like 4-5 hrs with no crash, the problem is confirmed NVIDIA OVERLAY IS CANCER for games. Disable that shet and you are fine with Stalker 2.

try these: contrast 80%, brightness 45%, gamma 45%, hdr black point -10, hdr white point 1000, hdr brightness 30, hdr interface brightness 0 (thats because im on oled)

I have both OLED LG TV 4K 144Hz and QD Mini LED TCL 34" 3440x1440 170Hz Gaming monitor. Both have over 1000 nits HDR and most of the games in HDR looks like carp very wash out and bad in general. I give up on HDR gaming because game devs do not give proper HDR support for games but only SDR. So if you want to buy a TV or monitor for HDR gaming... don't do it, is a total disappointing.

Mine is -30 all cores and +100 MHz because with +200 gets too hot for the confort in full loads stress tests, i want my CPU to last not to die, so i keep it under 90c in full stress tests and 5325 vs 5425 MHz means nothing in games, but the temps means a lot.

I can’t Even undervolt with intel Not because I don’t have a non k I mean I have one but intel has some voltage volume offset since the instability thing.
So if I under volt the cpu will down clock so that it doesn’t crash. So you can do -100mv but the cpu will only have 3ghz. You can turn it off but you loose your warranty and its kinda dangerous. You never know what else it’s controlling. There is a way around but it’s bit harder and in the end not really worth it.
So on the hottest cpu you can’t UV what a nice thing 👍

With S2, you've basically got two options: use those snake-oil engine.ini mods that usually "optimize" the game by just turning off graphics stuff or go with UltraPlus, hands-down one of the best mod out there for UE4/5 games, super customizable too. Here are some screenshots.

I know that Sony announced that they want to put FSR4 in to PS5Pro. What you mean was the time where for 1-2 years there was no option from amd and they did their own Upscaler. But since they have team Amethyst they prob gonna make a PS5 FSR4 version.
If they go through and do the version Upscaler its gonna be not far to have FSR4 for RDNA3.

Yeah it's the x.x.4 update so not majors change

FSR 4 is a mixed upscaler of transformer and cnn. Transformer needs FP8 to work fast enough. RDNA 3 does not have those it only has half precision fp16. CNN worked always with fp16 and RDNA 3 having that means that an only cnn fsr4 would work. Now I can’t say how good or if even the 7600 can run it cuz they are basically really weak. But the visual upgrade from FSR3 would be huge in most games. They even could enable it like xess does and run it as a fallback, with that they could replace FSR 3.

At the end AMD needs to evaluate their options and act accordingly and not say something like that 8gb is enough.
Some say AMD could run it with int8 but I have no idea if the performance is enough to be worth it.

Only thing I ever notice in any games is UI/HUD artifacts and even that is barely noticeable to me. Free frame Gen in any game and can combine it with fsr FG if game supports it. Maybe afmf is better on 9000 series?

Helldivers it is noticeable I guess. If you move camera fast most HUD icons have a faint trailing effect for less than a second. But it is worth it for the smoothness imo

But depending how scuffed the chipset is you might be forced down to PCIe 3.0 speeds

No, AIB means add-in boards, the one who makes the PCB boards for Nvidia GPUs, who takes nvidia GPU chip and slap it to their PCB boards like Asua, MSI, Palit, Zotac, Gigabyte, PNY.... so on so yeah short said gaming video cards.

Hey i had 5700XT and i had no drivers problems with that card. But others did and was weird i guess it was more a GPU bug or soemthing not all 5700XT had the same problems, some work very well sone had lots of driver crashing problems. That series was a wierd one. But after that, media started to slap AMD even more in their videos and AMD respons was pozitive fixing drivers, making a driver team and more. Since than they was ok with their drivers for the next gen video cards to come.

The only problem with AMD drivers i had was with R9 290X, that was the only card suffering from constant crashes in games i had so far. I even had befor HD 6970 and i remember i had no issues with that or with 5700XT. I even had ATI 9550 and had no drivers problems. Only 290X was problematic for me. And from Nvidia the worst card i got it was 8800 Ultra and GTX 295, terrible cards, very bad ones, drivers problems and crashes, artifacts and the worst you can imagine i got with this two Nvidia cards.

What cards did i use:

idk if i miss any... maybe i did too many to remember all i know i even had something with AMDk6 + voodoo but i was too small i only play games on it was not my PC it was family computer...

The only amd card i ever had isues with was the 5700xt (it also was super hot and i had the gaming x version)

And 5700XT that i had was perfect no issues it was from Gigabyte G1 Gaming edition.

Not all AIBs did good 5700XT cards

Some had problems, because i know a guy with 5700XT from Sapphire and he got problems.

RTX 5080 10 FPS better than RTX 4080 Super - wow what an evolution.
RTX 5090 20 FPS better than RTX 4090 - wow what an evolution.
RTX 5070 Ti can't beat a RTX 4080 - wow what an involution.
RTX 5060 Ti 8GB - Nvidia you already start playing with the fire.
RTX 50 series bad drivers, games crashing, black screen - Nvidia burn in hell...

Yet, no matter how bad Nvidia makes their cards with no performance and bad drivers, also expensive, people still buying them.

Low Framerate Compensation like when fps goes to 30 monitor is suppose to set Hz to 60 and so on until it gets over that 48fps threshold where it works normally again.

Nvidias drivers were screwed so instead of setting that 60 it went haywaire and kept changing Hz between 50 - 170 randomly causing massive flickering to level you could probably get epileptic seizure

Not for older monitors, FreeSync premium, or FreeSync 2.0 who has LFC from 30Hz

Some have from 40 - 50 FPS the older ones

Nvidia still not fix it. They are like buy a G-Sync monitor, because Nvidia LFC is not the same as AMD LFC.

this is enough to fluctuate between 65-75 fps with full epic settings, 3840 res, ultraplus+ config maxed out, and DLAA with framegen. With quality upscaling and framegen it's about 100fps. I notice the ultraplus config with long draw distances and reflection quality settings really drag this down, but once you see that quality you cant go back

overall pretty stoked for a 4090 i paid $1500 usd right when the 5 series dropped

Ultraplus config is great, if engine is optimised so we can gamble some fps. 1440p epic on 4070ti runs 50 fps, indeed game looks fantastic

to work you have to also set vsync on in Nvidia driver

game runs pretty decent for me, usually 40-60fps. High graphics, DLSS on quality mode, frame generation on auto.

And yeah memory leak plus random crashes have been more and more of an issue for me. It feels worse than launch 🤣
