hi, new here... joined cuz i love stalker, but am trying to figure out an audio oddity, bug.. my pc games are all steam-based, and i'm going thru the original trilogy. my setup is usb-audio for system, as I have external speakers. anyhow, in newer games, like call of duty or halo, audio plays thru the speakers. in stalker, it plays thru display port, on my monitor. the only audio source option is default. can i get it to play on external usb?

If in game option only has default then you should be able to change default audio output device in windows settings to your speaker and the game will use that as default. I think

Is funny how only this guy got drivers issues yet i never had a driver problem in 2 years with RTX 4080 Super or the other 2-3 years with RTX 3080 before it.

This is why i stop watching him long time ago he is mostly fake news. I started to watch hardware repair fix channels where they explain and show you how to fix all your problems with your hardware than losing time with clowns like JayzTwoCents, Linus and others like them who only complain about problems instead fixing them.

Even when using fsr or xess input just having the dlss input file set up makes game crash after 30 minutes - 2 hours. But without, I have played with fsr input like 4 hours and no issue anymore

Only once i got a problem, but it was Windows installing another driver on top of my driver and i had to DDU, disconect from the internet to fix it.

even i had issues on my GTX 970 in Battlefield and i used that for 1,5 Years. I needed to wait for the next update to fix it.
Luckily wasnt too long.

I am less unlucky. I had 1 in AMD and 2 Nvidia. For AMD it was 2023 or 2024 in summer. There was a driver for 2 weeks bad in FN.
And Nvidia battlefied and one of the Paradox games. Cant remember what game it was.

Only time i make driver instable is when i do OC experiments on GPU, playing with clocks till i get drivers errors and instability. But that is on me doing that intentionally to see the GPU limits.

Oblivion remaster is so good I been playing a couple hours now. Crazy I can run ultra lumen (hardware RT in game) and get 60-70 fps

I am running a 7800xt and intel 13600k. 32gigs of 5000mhz ram.

I am getting solid fps but when I move my mouse it is not very responsive. Feels like there is a really big latency. For me that’s not a enjoyable experience. I already edited the msi files and tried every possible setting.

Im working as it expert so I would think that I can solve errors myself but this I can’t figure out since weeks.

I just started playing this week and I'm happy so far but I can't help but notice that no matter what graphics settings I turn down or off, I cannot remove the foliage ghosting in the distance. It seems to go away when I scope in but otherwise it's always apparent. Disabling Frame Gen makes no difference, neither does running native res, or TSR 100%. I'm on a 4070 with very new drivers (but not the latest) and I've downloaded an optimisation mod which claims to fix it. Is this apparent for most people or everyone and does anybody know if the Devs are aware and if they even have a way to fix it? Otherwise I've got no complaints for the game in general, just this little thing that bugs me when I notice it. Thanks a lot.

That was a ASRock motherboard problem, just do not buy that motherboard brand and you are fine, i have 9800X3D + Asus board, all fine, even with OC for months now. Also if the CPU do not have this problem in the first month or so, will never have it, this is how CPUs works. If you get Intel, you will be very, very slow. Nobody likes slow

Never used to do that before 🤔 and it is fluctuating 55-65 out in the open world. Before it never really dropped below 60. Slight performance loss and I assume in a town it will be worse. :/

I noticed that in oblivion task manager shows my p cores being utilized a lot more than e cores. Which is good. Stalker 2 is like showing all my cores evenly distributed with utilization instead of prioritized p cores. Most games I play actually tend to use e cores as much as p cores which I don’t understand

In UE5 it was a HUGE difference even from 5800X3D to 9800X3D, not even talking about 1% and 0.1% where it was even hugger difference.

Oblivion remaster doesn’t stutter for me really. Only when the auto save happen just for slight second. It honestly is the most smooth ue5 game I ever played. Yeah it is only graphically enhanced by ue5 but still. It is impressive to me

You could use OptiScaler to inject fsr4 into the game and use quality upscaler. It actually looks good imo. Not much different than native 1440p and lot more fps

i have done that! i do use fsr 4 with framegen, because otherwise, when its very rainy, i can dip below 60 fps, and well it just makes gameplay annoying. with framegen, i am basically guaranteed >60, so i can limit my fps so it doesnt have these annoying dips

but i do wonder how much the 9070 xt is bottlenecked by my cpu. ill have to look this up

Idk how reliable this info is but I put it into bottleneck calculator and for cpu intensive tasks at 1440p it said your cpu is 10.3% bottleneck to gpu. Not terrible really but definitely holds it back a bit

In the same calculator with my specs it says 0.1% bottleneck for reference lol
