I'd say there are many issues still. For example, I can't control PC remotely as reliably as I could on windows (on Wayland), there are issues with shortcuts in some programs too. Some issues with audio here and there, some issues with some random games too. Not even talking about the games that requiere anticheat with access to kernel and that's a dealbreaker for many, unfortunately (from lol players to gta 5 players)... But yeah, it's getting there

Maybe it was really secure for years because of how hard it was to find bugs but now, since almost everything is open source and there's AI that got pretty good, people find critical bugs almost daily and that's a pretty big concern for all the cybersecurity guys... That's not entirely true - there's still some old-heads at the studio, including the original creator of A-Life (though last I heard he was deployed in the war). The CEO has been with the studio since the beginning as well.

Judging the success of a single player game by its player count doesn't make much sense to me. Most people will play through a game once and then drop it and move on.

At the beginning it's a decent indicator of sales, but months or even a year+ afterward? I would disagree. Besides, GSC would have access to actual sales numbers on their end and that's what they would actually be looking at. Once the DLC drops, espect player counts to go up again.
