The gear I currently have is NVG Gen 1, Mica, Jellyfish, Optician Gas Mask, PSZ-51 Hawk, and M860 Cracker. Skif’s Pistol is fully upgraded.

Also this is my first playthrough of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 and I’m playing on Veteran (my first playthrough of the original trilogy was on Veteran as well).

You can get a pretty decent unique bullpup AR if you want.

It’s called the decider and you can find it in Cement factory (the concrete forest is the location name). The quest does have you fight some dangerous mutants so be prepared.

There’s also 2 sets of armor that are good but not endgame material.

You can get the all around good Seva D suit at Cement factory as well (at a place called the cage). Or the Bulat a set of very heavy armor, it has very high physical and radiation protection but not much else (found at the army warehouses in chemical plant)

Artifacts are tricky cause only arch artifacts and a few (very specific) exceptions are guaranteed.

The quest for the decider is a tiny one that’s literally based around finding the gun. But I understand.

You can get a spas12 in cement factory. Behind a locked door just south of the hub at the northern border. Theres a Dragunov/svd in that region as well, you just need to go to the dam in the far east and break the crates blocking a buildings door.

Shit I didn’t realize decider and the spas12 are at the same location. There’s nothing tied to the greater story there, just loot and a small lil mission (he tells you to look for it, you find it, you keep it).

If you haven’t discovered cement factory yet it’s the region north of wild island.

If you zoom in on the north border of cement factory’s map you’ll see a bridge connection to the region’s trade hub.

Just south east of that is a large looking concrete complex surrounded by swampy land.

The quest is in the north east corner of that complex, and it leads you underground. The spas12 is behind a locked door in the west side of the complex. The key is found on a body inside the silos in the middle of the area.

I’ll have some spoilers down below, don’t click if you wanna be surprised.

I guess it hasn’t been 100% confirmed. But the same court document that leaked Oblivion’s remaster also pointed to a Fallout 3 remaster coming next, I will say this document is pre-covid and a few of the title releases were canceled. But most were released within a year or two delay.

We also just this week had Macfarlane toys accidentally posting listings for licensed merch related to a Fallout 3 remaster. Before removing them

None of this is concrete, but I think it’s extremely likely we’ll be getting it next year.

I’m on Xbox and I will say that mods have been a lil wonky so far. I’ve only ever downloaded simple tweaks to stats and it’s caused some quests to be totally stuck.

I do agree, it would feel hollow to open up areas of the map without giving access to the quest content within, but I can already see the uproar from players with base edition mad that they can't access areas that "should have been in from the start" because everything up till that point had been free but now that's behind DLC
