I understand, but it remains that as a game, the atmosphere is very cool. I've had it since day 1, I bought the deluxe version to support the team. The progress can be seen from day 1, but there's still a lot they need to add, but more than anything it's optimisation of the bugs in the missions, which is what bothers you. Then if you want to add weapons, weapon attacks, quests like untold stories, it's all a win for us.

Need to have it plugged in and of course have the levitating base locked in the upwards position, I believe these reprints have one of those left side dials as a power switch? Though I'm not 100% on that because I've got a 1st wave which is just always-on when plugged in. You can use that foam insert underneath it to help position the artifact, but after a little time feeling it out you'll be able to just drop it into place at the center when it's powered on and it'll stabilize itself.

DO NOT leave the foam base in between the spinning artifact and the base nor close the top portion when the device is hot or god forbid running!!! Frankly, I wouldn't recommend storing it in there at all and I don't even use the foam base anymore to position it. The only posts I've seen about these being wholly ruined have come from scenarios like those or lol otherwise using a wrong spec power adapter. I have used mine for easily a few hundred hours since launch, and I think as long as you don't leave it running for hours & hours at a time and especially follow those aforementioned warnings about the foam insert or closing the device while warm then you should be fine. I have noticed some slight warping the base of mine around the electromagnet, presumably from prolonged periods and heat buildup, so certainly keep aware of that though it's not affected any function. I've read about some similar technology lamps like this one Back to the Future levitating lamp that number of users had denoted failing due to loosened up solder joints from heat of prolonged usage, something to keep aware of

I don't see why not, though guess I'd have some concerns about the weight of the ball especially if you had the lamp in the up position because it is pretty hefty & I don't have a lot of faith in the probably plastic locking tabs that keep the top locked upwards. I don't think you'd cause any damage to the electromagnet though from just having the lamp resting on the base with it all powered off though maybe someone more inclined can answer to that?

Il probably just have it out of the lamp. the ball being constantly pulled down on the plastic probably isnt very good for it. Its most likely prroooobbaabblllyyy fine but like I mean I spent alotta moolah on this and would perfer to not potentially do something to damage probably the best thing in this set (At least as long as possible)

Oh yes, really all they had to do to sell anyone on the fence with those physical pre-orders imo was to show the damn physical items! With them existing as just renders for years understandably people lost interest especially with the price rising at a point, I think videos of that generally came out late enough that by the time many people were actually sold on them they were already sold out, like many others I was amazed to see the quality of the backpack & the lamp especially. I think GSC could make a killing if they'd make more official merch and could match the quality that was in the physical edition, other than some issues like your broken statue or @spring patrol issues with lamp which thankfully seemed to be more outliers. I think the overall quality and presentation is awesome, including even the boxes themselves and inserts within

I think at the bare minimum GSC should sell patch's as official merch. Etsy sellers already do that (And from what iv seen pretty well) but having an official source would be genuinely really cool to see. I could see alotta people having a genuine intrest in that.

The lamp to me was the most impressive thing of all. It definately fits the whole stalker vibe of the kit they wanted to show. the backpack is really cool but I almost dont wanna use it because of like you said, They are probably never gonna sell these ever again as just mech you could just buy.

Agreed was a lot of koupons, but genuinely the nicest collector's edition of a game I've ever seen and great for the superfans! I was pretty stoked for it just for the sake of having some actual official GSC-licensed merch, with most of the physical items from the older games being quite rare these days.

I will say the community seems to go extra hard with their efforts in some part maybe because of this, and I highly commend all artists & creators in this physical prop & cosplay scene for picking up where GSC silently slacks here.

Understandably, especially with the Fallout 76 canvas bag fiasco, there was some lingering animosity but I'm really glad they pulled through with this, very unfortunate for all the issues with fulfillment but the items themselves are great! Lol amen to that, the glorious lamp (when I finally saw what it was actually like) had me sold and I just considered everything else a bonus, but was very pleasantly surprised across the board; I have actually used the backpack pretty regularly since launch, thing is quite solid and I've not even waxcoated it, heard can be great for both waterproofing and longevity.
