By trying to explain one game logic problem, GSC have effectively created another.

If the burer doesn’t detonate the gunpowder but simply spits the bullets out of the barrel using telekinesis, then the weapon’s automatic mechanism should not work. Without propellant gases or recoil, there is no cycling of the action. The bolt won’t move back and a new round won’t be chambered.

Why wouldn't it just pull the trigger via telekinesis? Separating the projectile from the case and "manually" accelerating it down the barrel makes no sense. Unless the burers use telekinesis to operate every part of the firearm manually (i.e bullet is pulled from casing and "fired", casing still full of powder is ejected by telekinetically operated extractor, bolt is manually pulled back to chamber next round) that seems a little strange

Well, this is an explanation of why the damage from Burer bullets is different from normal shooting with this weapon.

Kind of? I find the deeper parts of the Zone to be surprisingly not dangerous feeling. The Red Forest and Pripyat are particularly egregious in my opinion.

It's definitely much better than at launch now that we have some real offline A-Life, and I don't want every inch of the Zone to be teeming with life and activity, but the feeling of danger is sorely lacking, at least for me. It's not a difficulty thing either, it's related to atmosphere, which I think GSC nailed except in this one aspect.

Well that's what I said; I don't want the Zone to lose its feeling of desolation and loneliness, but I do think that GSC needs to do something about that feeling of danger. Too often I find myself wandering around these areas that are supposed to be amongst the most dangerous in all of the Zone, and while there's the great, classic, creepy S.T.A.L.K.E.R. atmosphere, I don't really feel like I'm in danger. I'm not encountering any danger; I'm not being surprised by a mutant or hostile stalker ambush, there's just....nothing.

Yeah, kind of. Honestly, also there is just too much foliage in Stalker 2. If you play something like GAMMA there are much larger open areas where you can see longer distances and survey a situation. In Stalker 2 I can barely see 30 feet in front of me most of the time, so if there's some other Stalkers or mutants or whatever, by the time I see them they're already right next to me, or shooting me through a bunch of grass/bushes and I have no clue what's going on.

I think we need an overhaul of the weapon and suit upgrades as well as a rework of weapon ballistics/damage. Make it tied more to caliber so an AK doesn't just magically become useless after a certain point.

It doesn't negate progression either; in CS and CoP, you could run through the whole game with just an AK. Was the AN-94 and the 9x39 weapons better? Technically yes, but the AK never stopped being viable.

I just don't buy the train of thought "They haven't done it yet, therefore it will never happen.".

In theory I don't hate it, but few and far between autosaves & hubs makes me wish for something more akin to the campfire save mod or like the sleep areas scattered across the Metro Exodus maps, more like little spots for such respite rather than having to go back to a safehub every time.
