I remember testing it closer to launch across different difficulties and I thought it was dropping it down to rookie that was allowing it but didn't seem to be the case anymore also likely I was just wrong the whole time didn't even consider that

The problem is that you only start to get the stomach growl when he is at max hunger, but you're already starting to get debuffs when the icon first appears so I instead recommend playing with very low opacity & just that part of HUD enabled or using something like https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/1895 personally I really like them only showing up when you bring up the backpack

I find a similar issue in that while yes, there are audio & visual cues as to your radiation, bleeding, health etc. it's hard to tell for example if you are at 75% health versus 100% and that little difference might be one between life and death, though there's no way to know definitively without just wasting a health pack to "top off" which I found myself doing regularly especially now playing with increased lethality of Better Ballistics mod. Hehe for this reason if you play HUDless, a certain late-game ||story-obtained artifact is incredibly valuable to have in the open world if you were lucky enough to snag one when it was bugged spawning randomly in anomalies 1.7 though fixed in 1.8 so you'd now need item spawner or a "buy everything" mod to get it and it's not wholly game-breaking by any means imo really just solves this niche issue well ||
