When you actually draw a scanner, it has some way to show you there's an artifact nearby (Echo blinks a light, Bear points the rough direction, etc etc)

If you're closer than 100m it locks what artefact you'll get so if you save further than 100m away (I always save 120m) you can farm the anomaly until you get a artefact you want

To anyone in my very small niche that plays the game on controller yet uses M+KB for inventory management, there has been an issue as of 1.7 with the fluidity of swapping between the two (at least on Xbox). Wanted to share that I got a very quick & detailed response from the support team to my bug report that reads as follows:

Thank you for the detailed breakdown of how your input workflow has changed since Update 1.7.

It seems that in our effort to fix UI prompt flickering (where the game rapidly switches between "Press A" and "Press E"), the update inadvertently made the input detection too aggressive. Now, instead of allowing both devices to coexist, the game essentially "mutes" the mouse the moment it detects a signal from the controller, and vice versa.

Since this functionality worked prior to 1.7, we treat this as a broken feature rather than a new request. I have forwarded your report to our Xbox QA and UI teams so they can look into relaxing the "exclusive mode" constraints in menus.
Thank you for pointing this out. We will try to restore that seamless switching in future updates.

Hopefully this being treated as a broken feature instead of a new request expedites the required fix. 👍

Do consider that it isn't like you unlock some magic "golden gun" of sorts during the endgame segment beyond that & should be equally kitted by the time you get there. Truly unless you're dying for ||Sotnyk, Beast, X7 suit, EM1 Gauss,|| and ||the Heart of Chornobyl|| there's no real point, and even if it were possible it wouldn't really "break" much in the overworld just using any of that gear. None of those are particularly drastically better than similar endgame options as far as its combat effectiveness goes.

I've had the same Series X since launch & thus far have never repasted. Though I must say, ensuring the bottom side of the heatsink is free of the dust carpet that tends to form has always quieted down my fan when I notice it gets louder. And as the Series X is super easy to take apart & clean out, I would definitely recommend doing so in regular intervals (I do quarterly or so).

And you're right, it wasn't exactly such a big increase as there was here with the PS4 Pro, yes, of course, more substantial titles can run a little better, but for 900 euros it's not worth it to see something that in raytracing still does 30-40 fps when it goes well.

Xbox has had mods supported since SDK release in early July, though overall selection & regular updates are lacking compared to PC though hopefully GSC makes improvements to that process (they even mentioned twice in #📜┃gsc-answers about it being automated in the future)
