One thing that bothers me a bit in Stalker 2 compared to previous games is the amount of corpses that are scattered aroun literally every location you visit.
Often fresh corpses with loot.

You walk around and can get your bag full of corpse loot without firing a single shot.

Just find one in the wild like a random Pokemon and fight it, learn what it does. They’re easy asf tbh, even more so if you use Skif’s pistol since it can’t ever make you drop that. Aim for their massive head, when it puts up its shield it will throw an object and then another 1 before it will drop its shield for a few seconds, that’s when you unload on its head, if you don’t kill it you just rinse and repeat that.

Yeah, in early game there was a bunker with 2 of those in main story. I died a lot and reloaded a lot, I had a cracker with a mag modification on it. Somehow through sheer will and persistence I got them. But then I found Spas and life got easier with those. You can find the shotgun early or go straight to arena and get sledgehammer

Sure.
It does make you want to use all advantages you can rather than just faceroll everything, I can give it that.
I mean, it's also a reason why I've decided to go master. Test my skills and game knowledge and such.

But it gets insanely frustrating at times. With, again, weapons degrading much faster, with hunger ticking much faster, with anomalies one-shotting you unless you have resistances maxed out. Really punishing anomalies make artifact collection never... trivial, and you want to mass farm artifacts at all times.

Worst part of having no compas is no having dead bodies marker. You can't keep track of not just every corpse, but also can't tell empty corpse from full from a distance.

Well, I always go on Duga (with walkaround the snipers) for my Spark SEVA.
I thought it's Freedom SEVA that is on Yantar...

(Duty SEVA is also very solid armor, especially for master, where repair costs is a huge concern. Good protection, cheaper than Spark SEVA or Monolith SEVA in the swamps from the journalist stash)

Alright, so the test we do can not really uncover every possible bug there is. It can either be missed from our side, or from QA radar side. The work we do is also limited to our specific hardware and can not truly reflect performance on a universal level. Most of the bugs we find get fixes and some of those can sometimes generate a bug or two for some reason. However, we also keep on the test until release, so generally, we try to cover as much as we can with the time we have. Sometimes, a specific bug is found at a really late date and fail to reach the release hotfix. So, basically, it's all time issues in most cases, and ofc, too many repeated bug reports that often hinders noting progress and makes missing some issues more likely. I personally try to list some priority issues in one specific block to make things easier, but obviously not all the time.

Either way, we seriously do as much as we can in collaboration with the team and they are really making a real effort to track what we report, and trust me, it's not remotely close to being easy to track.

I wouldn't be so sure, maybe some all-in-one modpacks will stay unavailable but at least a lot of the bones behind that kind of experience are starting to become available on console. Still a long ways from the likes of GAMMA or even Anomaly the freeplay is lacking, really need custom quests but already having free start mod & the likes of lootable & craftable zone are certainly laying down the framework for that kind of experience, thankfully these creators are trying to maintain mod parity between PC & console

From the 1.0 release it became clear S2 requires some Cyberpunk 2077 levels of patching, in a span of multiple years.

I really got flashbacks from CP2077 patchnotes, when a single patch could have over 1200+ various fixes.
But now it runs great, and I do have hopes that Stalker 2 will also do at some point in the future.

Ambitious project slightly ahead of the time and available hardware do to everything.
Maybe with stuff like RTX 6090 we could even have A-Life simulations from way far away, less needing for squads to pop out of nowhere on the points of interest the second we clear them.
