Subsonic rounds with terrible ballistics. Alright in close quarters or point blank, but when trying to shoot at a distance - is almost you're throwing them by hand.

Liquid Rock, with it's "maximum item durability" only gives you like 10% more durability.

But with master mode degradation, having 5 Liquid Rocks doesn't sound like a terrible idea...
They could make it at least 20% durability increase!

Where all guns are so highly inaccurate, pistols don't even have iron sight aiming, and enemies sometimes extremely tanky.
Duty exo guys can take like 20 AK headshots.

I've played as much of the game as I possibly could and would like to be able to do more. All roads inevitably lead to one decision you make about 75% of the way into the story, otherwise the game plays the same no matter how you slice it.

It's honestly much better than Gauss. Less damage, but enough to take down anyone with a headshot, but unlike Gauss, it has way faster rate of fire, so it actually clears absurd amount of Monolith masters much faster.

Classic Stalker experience, when the last 2 quests have more Monolith troops than the whole previous game combined.

Best enemy I've ever fought. Not a fan to make them "human" in S2. It was the type of enemy that you didnt question allegiance or whatever. You just shot them. But still a very tragic/good story with Noontider.

Opposite of that, I'm happy I get to see the what it looks like when these people aren't controlled by the monolith and more importantly I enjoy knowing the fate of one of the characters we played in the original trilogy, although tragic af, it just shows how much of a monster the monolith are. To rather suicide then become controlled again is such a daunting reality they had to constantly deal with.

Some current events made it clear that maintaining and gearing a PMC isn't THAT hard or expensive.
Especially considering that groups operating in the zone relatively speaking aren't that big, or require that much gear or payment.
They are seemingly in numbers of hundreds, when in reality it's possible to upkeep even tens of thousands mercenaries without macro-economical amounts of money.

Made me think that every single group in Stalker besides loners and bandits is just a passion project of some bored billionaire who feeds them with pocket change.

Well, some of them even make a bit of money back through artifacts, which makes it worthwhile to supply them with special stuff. Like we know that M700 snipers are directly shipped to Zone for Freedom at a stable rate.

The moment you receive the SOS signal, it will automatically lead you to the mines in the red forest (no marker, but the message would mention the mines, so it's easy to find that place since the location exists in the red forest. Yes, I haven't noticed issues with these even after installing the new update. And are you referring to Unforgiving Zone ? I haven't been using that because it alters the lootpool which Lootable x Craftable Zone also does so I figured incompatibility there, and now also now Better Ballistics Redux overhauls healing items akin to Unforgiving Zone now anyway

I had been using it for a while now, was especially great back before the A-Life system got some improvements over the last few updates, but admittedly I'm just so used to it that I've not even tried vanilla again comparatively (feeling very spoiled with mods by now lol) & couldn't pick out necessarily what some of those differences may be especially now vs then.
