Havok was cool, nivida’s thing was cool. Insomniac and what they did with ratchet and clank was cool. But now the actual game developer would have to do the actual physics and that’s just stupid and development teams on engines like unreal. don’t have the resources for physics. So it’s gonna be a lost art.

well yeah, but you need very experienced ppl for it and a lot of time and money. bcs it costs tons of money to be able to create your own engine and then the game and it also costs tons of money to keep those veterans that will develop it for you, bcs ppl like that are highly looked for and they will go for higher bids. Thats why Sony is paying insane amounts of money to their engine engineers.
Most companies just cant do this, only the big ones or smaller projects, that dont need complex engines.

If I encounter a friendly group around a campfire and walk away, that group is gone when I return. I think this was better in the old Stalker games; it felt more persistent and alive. It's true that weapons get lost under the map. Not all of them, but a good portion of them get lost. It's not a big problem, but it's still annoying because you can't unload them and sell them. The bug with the bureaus throwing invisible things at you is more annoying.

The lore reason is that it's the only safe route to the north. Limansk is unreachable after CoP, Steloks secret route was bombed by his group so other people wouldn't use it and the other areas are just too heavily radiated/full of anomalys

Yes after the events of CoP when Stelok gave the government information about the zone and they founded Siirca the zone became more traversable. Technically Sometimes before the events in CS Steloks group found an underground way into it but they blocked it off for others, then C-con unleashed the BIG EMISSION which changed anomalies around. and you can't even go near brain scorcher or you die. I'm CS you reach the North via Limansk, but that road gets cut off in CS as well
