i read a workaround about artifacts underground spawn that worked fine for me so far: "if you see artifact's light where it is stuck under ground then step back until the light is turned off, then come closer again (the artifact flashes each time when you enter it's spawn area), repeat this process of entering-exiting artifact many times, and at some point it will pop out from under the ground. it usually takes less than a minute to unstuck it in this way, but you have to grab it quickly, otherwise it will drop down again and you will need to start over."

Hermit crabs are the most difficult to near impossible to raise. But it goes with all crabs since it's impossible to have a large survival rate when starting from egg, because crabs have this 'larvae stage'.

faction relations are just as detailed now, except color coded rather than numerical coded. True faction warfare was not a thing in 2/3 games. There was never any crafting in any of the original games. Event log lmao. Hunger system was alwayshunger bar with damage. There are wounded animations for human enemies. Day night cycle has been extended for months now.

for me I feel like gamma emphasizes too much on certain mechanics that weren't prevalent if not totally nonexistent in the official games, in which the official games tend to focus more heavily on the atmosphere, world building and general exploration, which is not to say there isn't exploration in gamma but I think it puts too much of a stopgap in between segments of exploration with all the looting and crafting and repairing and shit that you didn't need to do in the OG. maybe that's enjoyable for some, but for others like me i'd rather not put that much time into those things, and as a result of those mechanics it feels less like what stalker should be imo.
