Lads, as a Linux user... I can tell you what runs the best, but I am yet to find base line stable. CachyOS is the best performing one I found, but because it runs KDE, it $#!t's the bed on a few titles for me. Cyberpunk, crash in a few minutes. Inquisitor martyr, can crash in a few minutes. Borderlands 3 and Fallout 4, mouse pointer refuses to stay on one monitor. I hate Ubuntu, but I hear it's stable. I will try it again in December.

I'm talking about on DayZ on both Console and PC versions they ahve glitchers on consle which can go into your base without ever firing a shot (it has since been patched) and on PC it jsut got hacks for all kinds of things like teleport and mod menus. I don't know current state of running Dayz standalone server but I use to run my own Overpoch Server on Dayz when it was on ARMA 2.

in general UE5 is still more a beta or even alpha engine.
I was involved in UE5 development myself and its horrible. I rather use Cryengine/Lumberyard.
So many texture errors, shader compilation hiccups, the whole gaslighting that Nanite, Lumen etc would be better. Lumen itself is a total horrorshow with so many bugs and probably being the heftiest performance challenge for games. writing games to work around these baked in plugins is a total shtshow and as annoying as you can imagine.
no idea why the global trend for AAA titles is to go UE5 when Epic cant even provide proper documentation how to optimize software for the engine, despite Sweeny boating how the engine isnt the core issue of modern performance issues but the dumb developers not optimizing.
Plus that forsaken devkit crashes at least twice per hour. it makes even VIsual Studio look tame
