It's really weird, everyone is talking about that issue with artifacts being underground, but every artifact i've hunted so far was above ground, sometimes it seems they're underground but they hop around all the time and seem to pop out again at some point

If I were to give a suggestion of how to fix it, I would suggest to not fix it.
That’s right, let the artifact get trapped sometimes. However, when an ommision occurs have a different artifact automatically reset to a random spawn point in the artifact field , while the trapped one gets zapped.

What it means is they spawn below the map. You cannot interact with it, you cannot pick it up, it does not respawn, and that artifact fields as a whole becomes unusable

It's really great if you simply adapt to it. There's a quest in Cordon where you need to get a psi installation, OK so normally at the end of that quest I kill the electric poltergeist to disable the installation, but because of Master diff, I died 3 times and had to redo it untill I gave up and shot the psi tube. You're right, this difficulty is forcing me to take a different route

if you have the drop on enemies, you win 90% of the time with not even a magazine fired and 0 damage, if they have the drop on you you get f'ed, usually you'd fight back by blasting ammo everywhere hoping to survive, on master you run away and re-engage 😛

Engine upgrade may get pushed to the next roadmap phase tho, but no one can know for sure. I'm just going off the roadmap we got months ago, we have everything uncommon and unique on the list besides binoculars and maybe one or two other things, engine upgrade, binoculars, more quests from old and new friends, and that's about it, everything else is done or is always gonna be on the road map as the game progresses

1. Ammo economy - less ammo drops from enemies facilitating weapon stripping - its to the point that some minor stashes only drop 3 bullets while major stashes are about 60 or two clips.

2. Coupon economy - you will not be flush with money, assuming you scrimp and save to the max you will me very grateful to have 100k. Just recently someone was talking about repairing one 60k gauss rifle like it was nothing, but that's a veterans games worth of coupons

3. Repair economy - because basic gear is unusable on Veteran, chimeras one shot under 4 bars of physical, and high penetration gear is mandatory repair costs are higher with good equipment

4. Upgrade economy - goes without saying but certain endgame weapons just aren't ever getting maxed out for you sorry. It's basically vanilla Karods for you, or maxed out midgame gear instead.

5. Dmg economy - yeah bleed is rough, dmg is high from enemies, and anomalies just one shot you with low defense. This is not hyperbolic electric anomalies assuming you don't artifact up will one shot you all game long regardless of armor.

6. Enemy dmg resistence - I kind of pointed to this but low penetration guns are just bad Veteran, assuming you don't stack them with armor piercing rounds. You'll oneshot headshot bandits but by the time Monolith show up its time for the big calibers and weapons.

there are places where you can get +5 fps than before. Granted to actually compared vs older version you have to get the same lighting and weather , same amount of npcs since every single dynamic factor affects the fps count but the game seems to run a little bit better

Currently, for example, when you take a mission to clear out bandits it gives you a static camp where nothing ever happens and these bandits just wait for you for ages until you kill them or cancel the quest. Ok guys I have a question. I love the idea behind removing compass on top of screen on Master difficulty, but I don't. Let me explain. You should not see markers on it, agree, but u should have compass itself. Sometimes I use it for navigational purposes. For players who want to play without player merker on map it is such a pain.

its linux based but they are working in the technology to make the compatibility as if the game was running in windows but in SteamOS. Its the same they use in steamDeck, same technology will be used in the GabeCube. SteamDeck seems to have very good compatibility across the board
