It's true that there are not that many quests after some point but the points of interests are interesting to explore even without them quests, there are many smaller and unique encounters. But yeah, it's true that the areas at the start of your game feel richer in terms of quests

Wow 1.7 brings more changes and optimizations to lighting/lumens than I expected. From graphical perspective this is first patch that It changes a lot at first glance. I'm not sure yet if it's good, a lot of things look like over-optimization. But there is definitely a noticeable shift in performance. I would say it still needs a lot of work, but these changes are probably preparation for an engine update.

Both and also significatly lower VRAM usage. I have potato PC (2060 super, i7 8700) and this patch brings more changes in terms of optimization and lighting setup than all previous patches together. For example shadows in interiors are finally not pitch black stencils. But I think some optimizations are too strong.

But I think that there are more "inpainting" temporal problems on walls, with slower lumen recalculations on some scenarios (but for example foliage seems to have less problems than before). One room can describe all the problems – the Lens garage. Light leaking, car is completely wrongly illuminated, etc. But I'm really looking forward to the engine update. I think it's going in the right direction. cautious changes, adding features slowly and gradually polishing the diamond.

just for you to know. Free roam is what we have now. Aka open world gameplay, where you can FREELY ROAM around the map and fullfill objective at your pace. (its opposite to linear gameplay on linear map of games like old CoD forexample) What you are asking for is Sandbox, aka playing without main objective telling you what to do next.
