If you have gasoline or kerosene, any bottle will do but there is none of that in the Zone. Those type of fuels go bad over time, like if left in a vehicle. The vodka however, being plentiful, would catch fire enough to work somewhat.

Yes and no.

In CS Strelok got around Brains Scorcher but didn't turn it off (the tunnel he blew up was his way). You go fight him at CNPP where it is Clear Sky vs Monolith.
Then Emission happens.
CS looses and gets taken and brainwashed into Monolith/Agents of C-Con.

Then SoC happens. Strelok is among Agents of CCon with task to kill himself. Then you turn off Brain Scorcher and the final battle is Military (Operation Monolith) vs Monolith. Its when Strelok gets inside and destroys CCon.
