I don't know how it could've bugged out, it definitely doesn't home in on me as badly as when I have artifacts, but say I get within maybe 10 feet of it? It'll go right for me, ||made a certain mission with a tight hallway impossible...|| and sometimes I don't even have to get remotely close to it, very rarely it'll just go straight for me out of nowhere and scare the shit out of me

Now I understand getting close could set it off, but the radius feels FAR too huge, I can't explore any area with a tesla roaming

Stick risers are a thing, which help massively (increases the degree of travel above what a controller would usually have)

The issue isn't that; I don't really mind...but functionally, a MAC-10 with recoil reduction is SO much more useful than the other pistols.

Even one-handed, with recoil reduction, is very controllable.

Yes. You start off with a unified planet (based on various types of 'starts'). Then you expand, claim more star systems as territories and expand till you hit other empires (it's basically an expansion race).

Along the way, of course, technology and military management (you need a strong military to avoid getting attacked, because that's always costly).

Eventually, you choose an ascension path (if you want), namely psionics (not the STALKER kind), cybernetics/synthetics or biological ascension.

By then, mid or end-game, you should be able to become the crisis if you so choose. The game already had external crises invading the galaxy in end-game, but you can become an internal crisis now.

Basically, you go from being the rebels (in terms of power, not actual rebellion) to the Empire (but with the Stormtroopers actually able to shoot), but you can either be the Palpatine, you can either be the Federation (Star Trek) or you can outright destroy the galaxy and end the game.

You can create almost anything...of course, there's limitations, but it's still VERY much flexible. You've basically got 8-directional ethics choices, 6 of which are diametrically opposed.

Xenophile vs. Xenophobe. Pacifist vs. Militaristic. Spiritual vs. Materialistic. Fourth is each of theirs' fanatic versions (so a xenophobe merely hates others but still maintains minimal relations/regular diplomacy, while a fanatic xenophobe is a zealot). Fifth is gestalt consciousness (hive-mind).

NGL, taking them to STALKER...

• Freedom = xenophiles with Dalin = fanatically xenophile.
• Duty = xenophobes with Strelok = fanatically xenophobe.

Trust me, it's fun. Also, if you decide to get it, first try the game normally at top speed (once you get the hang of it) and if you want extra performance, you can just type smooth in the console (yes, unlike S2, you can access the console normally). It'll make every 'tick' run without smoothing it out over the processing, so the game might feel a bit 'stuttery', but it'll run much faster.

Though it'll slow down invariably as population grows.
