I don’t get it at all, first of all, Scar is fighting for the Shining zone, korshunov for the destruction of the zone, Strelok for the zone to stay as it is, but what about Kaymanov?? I don’t get what his stance is. Furthermore, you enter the pod in the end but what happens to you?? It doesn’t make sense what happens to skif, and then don’t get me started on Faust being the doctor??? LIKE WHAT?? This ending feels like they got 29 random ideas and put them all in can someone please thoroughly explain it.

So I pray the my autosaves go back far enough and they do… to 1 save after the choice. So I just cry for like 1 hour and then decide to replay through the whole game again. Hours and hours and hours just to get the kaymanov and Strelok endings bc I knew that watching it on yt wouldn’t be the same. So I wasted like 20 hours of my life just because of 1 tiny save.

I like the Strelok fight. I wish they leaned into the use of artifacts more across the game. I want to see some naturally spawning high rank stalkers capable of weird stuff. I want to see abnormally fast runners, guns shooting fire, bullets being reflected away sometimes, etc. artifacts not effecting combat was a huge missed opportunity (not to mention the fact artifact activation is STILL not in the series despite being canon for years and being in the old multiplayer modes). The Strelok fight felt very good I only wish there were more like it and he had more fun moves during the fight (he should’ve had a melee attack with the legendary 1 hit knife)

aside from those, its a lot of sellable items, like a lot

Besides removing like 75% of the static loot (which I do think is a huge hit to vanilla balance and replayability) unlimited does a really smart thing with stashes. Most will be empty or have like, a piece of bread on them, but you can get PDAs off enemies you kill

the main thing about unlimited is that it makes most stashes empty, but when you find a PDA it will reveal an "actual" stash for you

so it makes loot way way more rare, and it makes loot abundance fall more in line with what you'd expect from a miserable shithole like the zone

it discourages free exploration but during your travels you'll get a buncha stash markers that you'll eventually be compelled to go check out, so I think it's a great balance

also it would probably work great in a anomaly style free play situation

So you’d an find unmarked stashes

unmarked stashes are still there, just have like a chunk of bread an an expired can most of the time

but you'll find locked pdas on corpses. If you have a pda unlocking device, you can "use" them

and when you use them, it will add a stash marker on the map for you somewhere

that stash will now get you what you'd usually get out of a normal stash, ie mutant parts, valuables (unlimited has its own itemization-like system of valuables), weapon attachments, etc

overall, it's a mod that heavily nerfs the stalker economy, which means you'll have to grind a bit for almost everything.

but it's not crazy either

whereas in a normal playthrough you'd be flush with money before long and you'd have a donkey kong style hoard of sausages just steadily increasing in your stash, in unlimited you kinda have to go out of your way to do radiant quests, artifact hunt, and scrounge up money for new detectors and such

again, it's not crazy, but it does introduce a bit of a grind into the game that I feel the vanilla game just makes irrelevant in favor of pushing you along the story

it also massively reduces the static drops in the world like armor and weapons which I do think it's the right move (and remixes the ones that are still left)

man i knew it lol, there's a video i was gonna watch about the mistakes that they did with the guns in Stalker 2 and it's nearly an hour long, like 53min, and the first is the PM and it's got some dumb mistakes for being a pretty iconic gun from the series

it's funny because they correctly use the mag release but they also do dumb things like make the mag show 10 rounds when it only holds 8, and the onlly way the mag would hold 10 is if you took out the spring but clearly that would make it unable to feed and i am so annoyed by these types of dumb mistakes i feel should simply not have happened.

and idk if they fixed it but the mag also only shows either full or empty in the video and it's only like a month or so old.
