No I actually currently only have Series X to play on besides sad ultralow configs on my steamdeck right now lol, been building it on mod.io as collection to document it one step beyond just listing the mods I've got currently enabled, hoping we eventually get the ability to view those & follow/subscribe to these collections entirely on console like we can when browsing on a PC. And I know a lot of these in the modpack are unavailable currently on Xbox, but I've just been adding the ones I'm interested in and hoping GSC approves them sooner than later

Yeah that's one I stopped playing with for now personally because of those performance issues on Xbo, but didn't want to remove it from the pack entirely because it's one I'd love to use in the future when it is more stable and did not want to just remove outright for the sake of those who are using the collection on PC

Yeah I had some points where it was mostly smooth but some other really chunky moments of course when you are really in the thick of the woods that made me question if I was on quality mode with that framedrop so I have switched it off & haven't been itching to throw it back on until it improves/the game is optimized into a better state to support it

I did update the mod collection's description to include a note about that in the beginning, so thank you for pointing that out! I have not been playing with More Realistic Forest for a while now but didn't necessarily want to go remove it from the collection entirely, when one can just unsubscribe to it & other performance-impacting ones on their end

But then again even coming from one I can understand that your average console player is a brainlet & is going to much sooner complain that subscribing broke their game than they would be to individually seek some true resolution

A big part of what pushed me to do this is of course has been seeing how underrepresented STALKER is on Xbox as a whole, and with the restrictions on vanilla & the EE original trilogy issues the inclusion of STALKER onto console has become seen amongst Zone veterans as this dumbed-down version like a world-removed from the modded STALKER experiences that have been the real reason why the game has maintained such longevity & replayability this many years after launch and was even thriving while GSC itself was dormant. The community kept the game alive and we certainly wouldn't have a sequel if not for the breath of life these kinds of mods can add to the experience & players that depth has further drawn in over the years, so just trying to do my part as a lifelong huge veteran fan who happens to be mostly on Xbox these days and wants to see a similar sort of life for S 2 (and be able to enjoy for myself as we close the gap in pc/console and mod support parity)

With that being said, I also created a club on Xbox for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl many months before the game came out, actually early enough that it was even before the official spelling change happened, and so I had already used my one-permitted name change to remove the asterisks and make it just STALKER 2 Heart of Chernobyl because some friends reported issues finding it with Xbox's query parsing around the periods I guess. So I cannot change it to the Ukrainian spelling. Anyway not like it was ever that active but it has 39 members so I'd like to believe at least I am not fully alone in my niche boat of being this larger fan but these days being on Xbox, and anyway even though I have the game tagged as something that the club likes to play, it doesn't come up as an active club when you view the official club page on Xbox (which mind you is purely empty besides the automated clips players sharing to their activity feed) so just trying to have built some sort of community there as well, though I don't want it to be seen as some anti-UA sentiment just because I made it months before GSC rolled out the official name change. @waxen marten Not a huge deal but wondering if there's something that could be done about this general notion to better establish some sort of sense of community extending to Xbox; there are a vast number of players on the platform but minimal effort from GSC on using any of the baked-in Xbox community features to share any sort of information/establish console community. I recognize at the end of the day, if you truly want that information you will go here or reddit etc. But it would be nice for GSC to utilize the official channels that are there for the game because right now the page on Xbox for the official club remains unchanged since launch and looks like the game never even came out lol

Right there with you man, I'm glad to see we've already gotten some great things from them both in terms of fixes & restored content, and then I was not expecting this great of official mod support this early and especially not on console so I commend them there. at this point, what I really want to see from them is optimization improvements to try to expand the a-life bubble if such a thing is possible and then really start restoring content to make the final 2/3 of the game have as densely packed content as the first 1/3. It definitely needed more time in the oven but I am personally in a small minority of not really caring that much, and I would rather be able to play & test it in earlier state than wait even longer for it to be "done" frankly, I see this as something I'm going to be playing over the next 10 years or more, just like the originals. Not just having one really good experience and shelving it, but spending hours and hours just lost in it, and with that it has been & continues to be awesome to see the constant improvements made along the way.

This is my first stalker game because I had people tell me how great the trilogy was and were excited for stalker 2 so I bought it, and I gotta admit as much as wish otherwise that it’s left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth for GSC at the moment. No and you are totally right there. I recognize I am in a niche boat with spending bulk amounts of time just exploring admittedly not really doing much, aimlessly wandering getting into some fights, seeing the sites etc. What we really need is GSC to do their part in the restoration of cut in-game content, and then that combined with the sort of interesting replay value we get out of mods that are focused on improving the freeplay really enhance that lived-in Zone experience. I also recognize that at the end of the day different players are going to draw a line for the types of things they think that the vanilla game should have, but to me I think the vanilla game is very lacking in depth and needs these kinds of things like lootable/craftable zone + better ballistics to really provide the sort of experience that speaks to those who have spent so many hours over the years playing these modpacks after getting their fill of the original trilogy. To me it was surprising that S2 was so strict with sticking to notions from the original series that from a game design standpoint are imo terrible and dated these days like the inability to repair your own weapons with supplies, and they should have taken more of those aspects from mods like Anomaly because frankly now ~15 years on that the kind of depth in game design is what players are still hooked on, not the comparatively simplified mechanics of vanilla games upon which Stalker 2 is mostly based

I've been a fan of the originals since they came out and while there are certainly things that still disappoint me about 2, generally, I think the bones are mostly there for being the next generation of Stalker that everyone was hoping for though we are in a bit of a rough patch of course with its admittedly-rushed launch and now scramble to give it the cyberpunk 2.0 treatment. I would definitely recommend playing the original series because you will pick up on things that are still admittedly better about those, but then you'll see some of the quality of life things about S2 that you now welcome with open arms. And GSC does have like 400 employees it's not like we are talking about a few dudes in a basement, but either way, I don't think it's a lot to ask for some greater degree of transparency because obviously they must be aware of all of the logistical and production issues the game has been & still is facing If these issues are so glaring to the community at large. We have a single community manager who is phenomenal but understandably is just one guy, simply cannot be everywhere at once doing everything that's expected of him from a huge fanbase, and I'm not sure what the solution is going forward but it would be great to have some more accessible, frequent, and varied updates from GSC regarding not only the Q3 roadmap, but some actual insight into their ongoing incredibly slow mod approval process for Xbox, and generally much greater transparency for what both the present and future of Stalker 2 will be.

Eh, I'm pretty sure the PDA detection system and the IFF from the old games still exists, just not in game-play (because GSC has skill issues)...so people just know if you're a normal person or a threat.

Besides, the Monolith PDA have their own frequencies, so I presume they're detectable specifically; possibly the scientist at the Noon base might've helped others be wary.

Battlefield used to be amazing because of the world destruction, and simple yet engaging gameplay. It was fast, but fair. Fast TTK and you had to watch corners and long sight spots, in cod now all people do is slide cancel and bunny hop with anime skins and celebrity skins. Those won’t be in battlefield, just good old generic teams

it's not a CPU bottleneck either, it's consistently sitting at like 60%

mutant horde clearing seems like an addition that would get stale the fastest considering the frequency of mutant spawns and the general one-dimensionality of alot of the mutant designs

just like in every other stalker game a shotgun is almost always the best option to get the job done, not really the case with humans

hmm I dont have much idea since most games have fetch quests as radiant quests, You can maybe add radiant quest in which ur part of faction and have to defend your POI and capture them kinda like skyrim had in civil war. in which u destroy hidden camps

one can also add random events like the stalker one where u get his gun from gutter , or his brother body stuck b/w anamoly and have to carry them , or u can add encounters like in one mission u help stalker to tell a joke to help him find friends

When custom voice support will be added these quests will be good to have in game for immersion

I want to bring attention to the fact that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has almost no active presence on Xbox in terms of utilizing the community features available there. The club is a placeholder with name but essentially non-existent, and GSC choosing to ignore this direct line of communication inadvertently alienates a large shred of the growing console community that loves this game! Need @Mol1t to please bring this to the team's attention!

As a longtime Zone veteran who happens these days to be on Xbox, I actually made my own club called STALKER 2 Heart of Chernobyl for the sequel way back last summer before the game even came out to try and do my part in establishing some sense of community on the Xbox side of things. This was before the official name change so my club uses the original RU Chernobyl spelling (don't crucify me! 🇺🇦♥️) and I cannot edit this because the official club is utilizing the UA Chornobyl namesake, but frankly wasting it because the club is empty & unused.

Viewing the "official club page" honestly would make you think that it hasn't even released yet because it hasn't changed since day 1, with GSC not doing anything with this club on their end & not making a single interaction from behind the curtains of this. Such inaction only further contributes to Xbox players feeling left behind/in the dark on such news or even those feelings of community belonging which are paramount to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fanbase. Not all have the wherewithal to search reddit/discord for such information, and contrary to belief these clubs on Xbox are actually great for these reasons + more.

I'm not expecting to get major patch notes here for example, but it would be nice to have some regular updates about the bigger patches as well as just in general, get some posts & further establish a sense of community that attempts to keep the huge chunk of Xbox players in the loop with the state of the game and ongoing community camraderie.

The Shining Zone is for all, and I'd love to see the official club actually start to gain some use & traction, because there's no reason we can't have a sense of community established on Xbox for sharing experiences and ultimately building friendships born out of that shared love for the world of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Otherwise, you are welcome to join my own Xbox club for it, but I feel that without any official support this sort of project is almost dead in the irradiated water, or at least would be exhausting (and maybe fruitless) for me to try & take on entirely myself.

If you do want the truth, I was originally on Xbox growing up then found myself on PC for a number of years like 2012-2018 & found myself back on Xbox as I was gaming less in general and most of my old friends were still on there + I have always enjoyed the Xbox ecosystem. I have definitely come back around gaming more in recent years & I do actually have a Steamdeck too to enjoy my old library, but haven't really felt that, beyond maybe some crazy mods on S2, I really need to have another one right now. I'm into old euro cars and these days if I'm going to throw a few grand at something it's going to be another shitbox, my gaming needs are pretty fulfilled right now between the two devices. well besides GSC's dripfeed with content + mod approval & current SDK limitations

With that I was playing all of the originals back on PC when I finally got one, though it was of course some years after their launch as I only had Xbox then. I started from medium ones, I didnt go lower since it would be strange playing low settings only because CPU is hot - since framerate is great on all the settings.

PC starts burning not instantly. It need half an hour to boil property.
Checked in my vent shafts were clean: they are.
Check in other modern games like RDR 2, Doom Eternal on Nightmare with RTX ON, Cyberpunk. Stalker 2 looks to be only game heating it up so heavily.

Althougt, yes, its worth mentioning all these games using self-written engines. Unreal Engine 5 - even with custom updates - still shares core principles developers are tight to.
For proper comparison I would need to play another AAA UE 5 game - which I don`t have.

why isn't my game doing multi frame gen even if I'm on 50 series gpu? I'm seeing the option is there in youtube videos but my game doesn't have the option. It's doing 2x frame gen only.

There is suppose to be something you can do in the nvidia app to make it work but

The option apparently doesn’t appear for most people

So the only way around it is to force it to work using dlss swapper
