Yeah, GSC's vision was to go with SoC balance, which is basically a progression system. I personally like CoP's system, which, while still having weapons locked until you progress further into the story, most weapons and armor are all still useable late-game and each have their own purpose/playstyle

My first playthrough I found only 160 rounds roughly outside of stores, not many in stores either. This playthrough I just found 50

If the do add an AKM, they’ll need to make the round way more common. I would say just as common as 5.45, just a bit more expensive. Higher power, less range and more kick

Although irl 7.62x39 doesn’t kick much more than 5.56

Even a 300 WSM kicks harder than 7.62x54, and that’s very manageable kick

Honestly, I don't even like the way most UE games look... Not sure if it's the engine or it's the devs but, as I've said yesterday, too many materials in UE games look oiled up and the lighting is always a little bit weird. That doesn't happen that much with games made on Unity (although, to be fair, Unity has its own issues and it sucks for realistic graphics in general) or some other proprietary engines, imo...

But yeah, I really like "simpler" graphics too. For example, in original stalker games it's really easy to say if you can hide in the bush or not, if the enemy will see you behind the cover or not. In S2 there are so many details/foliage in the scene that sometimes it's hard to tell how will NPCs react to your cover. Basically, it's not just about aesthetics, it's also about the gameplay and being able to understand your environments. In environments that are rich with details it gets harder and harder to distinguish what's part of the gameplay and what's just a "backdrop"/cosmetic stuff that doesn't do anything...

I think it could've been optimized better in first place, but yeah if done right it might still won't run 60fps+ on every hardware like RTX 3060 and Ryzen 3, but the UE/tech upgrade would definitely increase perf and boost the visuals significantly or to be exact would give better performance/graphics ratio, at least on the GPU side. The game tanking the CPU isn't something UE update would fix I think, depends what exactly is tanking the CPU, many assets or game logic/AI, if it's the assets then optimized Nanite would offload a lot of that CPU stress imo.

You know artifacts need a trail in terms of effects as for example we do not have a maximum weight increase artifact, we don't have a stamina costs artifact, psi resistance artifacts and a mix of stamina and stamina costs artifact.

Needs honestly more artifacts with diverse effects as well mention that if we reached a cap limit for protection on artifacts.

Cause I really don't know about the caps working on somethings such as durability, it's so dumb without numbers and a cap value stats
