You talk to all the “big shots” in tech and they glaze this technology until the end of time. The critical comes from how certain companies like NVIDIA are “cheating” the numbers by using it instead of rasterization when doing and publicizing their benchmarks.

That is the issue. It’s an incredible technology and it really works. It’s not an excuse to develop your game with that in mind. It never should be and most developers aren’t doing that. A lot of the issue stems from the engine itself which is becoming more and more common to be UE5 which is a burials trash game engine. Again, no offense to the developers I understand why it was chosen.

Take a look at games like Decima, it crushes UE5 in every single way. Visual and otherwise.

yeah thats one of the biggest issues i got when people see the mod they expect 2 things

1. ragdoll instant on head, no animation
2. variation in deaths like bleeding out
   both are downright almost impossible to implement

dismemberment falls under number 3 actually: death animations based on bullet type

holy smokes i got no clue atm how i can possibly trigger the game to read by what bullet type the npc died and apply a specific animation from a pool for it
