There's no official way of disabling it so your only choice is to actually learn the way modding works on linux. The simplest way is to install the mods manually by dragging and dropping everything into correct folders instead of using modloaders. Otherwise you need to learn how to use protontricks and stuff like that to launch modloaders (And other executables) inside of your proton prefix (A container that is created for your game when you install it with proton compatibility)

Hoping someone can help me with a few issues I'm having as of late.
First off, my game absolutely refuses to perform a shader warmup. Yes, I've removed all mods and made sure my engine.ini doesn't have the skip command. Would really like to get this fixed.
second, when trying to use RTSS to limit the framerate while running frame gen, it limits the entire frame rate instead of just the actual frame rate and letting frame gen render above the limit. Not sure why this is happening. I've made sure the limiter is set to Nvidia Reflex.

Why not? Properly maintained guns can last a long time and Skif (and any of the Zone's technicians) are perfectly capable of taking care of weapons.

So yea, a real AK-47 should exist in a place with an abundance of Soviet firearms. Or rather, multiple. Especially since there's literal 7.62 X 39 in the game.

TBH, I didn't know the name till I checked on the internet, so...eh...unlike before, S2 has no internal encyclopedia, unfortunately. But yea, Teslas an they're a major nuisance. They will home in on you from basically any range if you have artifacts equipped, but the range is much smaller if you unequip them.

Krug Antenna Complex is the biggest problem; there will be no Tesla till you go down there and turn the switch on. Once you come back out, it'll zap you because you don't expect it.

Pripyat one is even better, right on the main damn road.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind some more Gauss-Rifle-type weapons that show actual progress being made from the Zone's...well, energy or whatever...rather than just everyone saying that it's helped people.

Original games don't need anything except removing the weight limit (can do that with a trainer). The amount of stuff that can be collected from the map and the re-spawning enemies will do the rest.

Just grab a few hundred guns, sell them to Sidorovich (or anyone who trades) and you got a tidy profit.

I completed the quest to get lens into surgery then went to Gaffer and clicked the option that was for the quest and he asked about Warlock's request then I spoke to Warlock and then to Gaffer and the quest progressed so I went to my stash to put the SEVA suit away and then it wanted me to defen Zailissya and I made it through the first sort of wave then the second a bunch of markers spawn and the quest doesnt progress.

bloated with plugins, forced with TAA, hillariously bad frametimings and unimaginable loading times, Unreal Engine 5 is slowly poisoning the industry. theres not one UE5 game with proper performance out there, its slow, its bloated, and the post processing is awful

I've got some of the new mods downloaded, so far it's not too terrible.

I preordered the Ultimate Edition, beat the game in 31 hours, that was with doing side questions on the way, magically I ended up near the end and completed it. I just need that update to come out so I can see a shit-ton of mods come to life.

I've burned a 100 hundred $ quicker elsewhere, not to disappointed in the game.

Two complaints only from me.

I've worked with UE5 for 3 years and can confidently say your right, almost all of the unreal 5 exclusive tools were either unstable or broken in Unreal engine 5.1 which is what Stalker 2 uses. Most of these instabilities have been fixed or improved with later engines versions like 5.5 or 5.6 but they are unable to update the games version because of their custom tools

That'd be the smartest way to do it, no sense in trying to go on with such an unstable version of the engine, might as well migrate it so they can actually get on with improving the game

Instead of trying to sail a constantly leaking ship and patching the leaks all of the time, move the crew and provisions to a new ship that doesn't leak spontaneously

Hello, do you have a guide for fixing the game crashes? After patch 1.4 I crash about every minute.. So far I've done this:

Reinstalled the game, deleted all save files, verify integrity of game files (steam), tried a new game and surely I crashed just as I got off the truck in the intro!

My specs are 5800x3d, rtx 4090, 16gb ram. The game was not crashing before 1.4, I'm sure it's the patch that broke the game

Maybe devs would gift me the original series so I can enjoy the zone until this mess is fixed? :D, here I've bought the digital DELUXE version and the game is not even playable. Shameful..

I have enjoyed the new outlook of the zone.
However, I will lie if I wont admit that I got spoiled by Free to Play mods like G.A.M.M.A and EFP.
While I give props to STALKER 2 for its new modern looks, under the hood it feels very barren compared to the mod packs out there.
I hope that next 5-10 years will bring out the potential and the zone in the view as many others wanted to see it from the developers and the mod community.
As for now I will be returning to mod packs to continue my roaming until the time comes to visit the ZONE of STALKER 2 with all of its new shines and wonders.

Misery is bad, well 3.0 is anyway, 2.0 is better, but if you want freeplay slop then COTZ would be a better choice since they touch up on the core issue with Freeplay, a wider variety of generated side missions, if you feel like its too old for you IWP has a COTZ mod that should be good enuff, or you could play stuff like Dollchan, Legend Returns, these give their own versions of COC stories and side quests for you to do while massively touching on levels, I hear people say that Dead Air Revolution is bad tho I never played it, still Im inclined to believe its better than Anomaly since they use the same base (dead air was trying to be misery on COC and Last day the same thing) and Dead Air Revolution has actual side quest content, if you want to suffer AREA has a bunch of side content for you to explore tho, balancing is even worse than GAMMA

if you want better mods you could look thru the SOC mod category, or if you want story mods COP might be more your style, stuff like Return to the Zone, Dreamcatcher, NLC, stuff that has a lot more thought in it than just a bare naked Last Day fork, trying to be a COC fork with a few more survival options that fall flat

there are thousands of better and more creative mods in the wild, shame that anomaly gets posted has the be all end all of modding when it is simultaneously one of the most restrictive and unimaginative ones

We've had this conversation many times and I always feel bad calling it out because I really don't spend enough time to get enough context

I dont find Anomaly to be superior to anything, I do find GAMMA to be the best fit for me.
I like roaming the levels without the need of elaborate story or NPC's pointing me towards a location for one reason or another.
I simply enjoy the process of exploration, picking odd jobs here and there.
Getting loot by simply buying it from trader or having easy drops in the field felt cheap to me.
So GAMMA's economy seems to work for me, I find stuff by chance, repair it if I can or scrap it for parts.
Shooting and survival mechanics deep enough but not too deep that I have to memorize 30 medkits and health items.
So all in all for me GAMMA modpack is perfect fit.

Can't say its better than anything out there.
I bet there are story driven mods that are very interesting, and other free to play mods that have a different shtick to them but thats a personal preference.
One is not better or worse than the other.
