the navmesh system is already implemented and working, Alife has nothing to do with entities beings spawned in terrain.
Im talking about a system that keeps track of all npc, its already done , stalker soc, cs, cop already has the code, in an engine way less powerful while UE5 has thousands upon thousands of tools to speed up performance and development. Its not a technology problem. Its not magic. Its just hours of programming, but it seems they dont want to put the work to make stalker2 be like the original stalker (alife-wise) and some fans even take their time to gasslight themselve into making excuses for them.

It was decided by the devs to reduce the alife radius, before in 1.0.2(before they locked behind code) you could use the .ini to increase the radius up to what ever number you want, i had it on 400 meters without despawn

in SOC, the only thing NPCs could do outside their own map, was walk around, they couldnt fight, loot, rest etc etc outside the map, in CS what they did is spawn NPCs at borders when it was needed for something due to the Faction System, not actually A-Life simulated
and in COP they completely gutted and stripped these systems to dumb down the AI even further

because the ai director has a timer on spawns, if you capped the amount of spawned camp and you start to travel, the ai director wont spawn any npc for a period of time until its free to do, leading to empty wasteland every now and then

In an old Stalker SoC Mod, I sold all the Dutyers at the Garbage Checkpoint, bolt-action, single fire Mosin-Nagant rifles.

Within a day they were all dead. Overrun by mutants and Bandits. Bolt-action will just get you killed in the Zone. It's just a matter of time.

yo so i reinstalled S2 after i deleted it in November 2024 and IT'S better, i wish the graphics werea little more defined on console but that's ok, im having a good blast of experience after i deleted my past save, now i see that npcs have a realistic aim, they lose sight of you and stealth now is better, now i see them at night with their flashlight too :'). the stashes are waaaaaay more rich now and i usually find guns too in some of them more commonly.
and i feel like the health pool of bloodsuckers decreased, which i love it.
now i havw a different more realistic feel of the guns and the game overall is better than last year, but still isn't as SoC level of details and content, still great tho

I played the originals when they were new, and while I would say there are definitely plenty of disappointing things about HoC, it's still nice after such a long wait for a sequel to get a game that definitely understands the gameplay and feel of the originals. There have been a lot of attempted imitators over the years and none of them come particularly close imo.

CoP does some things well, and it's true that you miss out on some good features in SoC that were added in CS/CoP, but I think the atmosphere and pacing of the story in SoC are great. And there is just plenty of stuff you can do optionally if you want with the side quests from the traders and faction leaders

We're still not entirely sure what they plan to do with A-Life, when more major changes are coming and how they plan to not only match the original games, which is the bare minimum, but to surpass them. They really need to get more people doing repeatable missions instead of 1 person in each area. Have the tech have a few or the trader, example oh the duty trader needs 4 USPs and a spas12, or the medic in rostok needs 2 army med kits, anti rads and bandages.
Also add ammo and item rewards I loved getting a box of ammo and f1s for doing stuff like kill the zombies in yantar in soc.

I can see on the map the CNPP is uncovered by fog now, but it's a little blurry

If you wait for the tornado to show up near the crane, you are going to get insta tapped. You have to hide below that crane, wait for it to show up, and start moving along inside the tornado's center. Grab the bolt when it starts flying by, and make sure to jump off the crane where that anti gravity anomaly is. It took me a couple of tries to land correctly.

Online guides seem to be outdated, it told me to move down the crane, but I die instantly. There's that anomaly I mentioned (forgot the name) right below the crane, you land there to escape safely.

Make sure to move along the tornado center timely, reaching the top of the crane on time so you have time to grab the bolt and jump.

Just to be sure. If you side with Ward, you get the Combatant. If you help Noontide, you get the Lynx. Do you get any unique weapon if you side with Spark?

Combatant you get if you side with the loners in Zalissya, but show the PDA to Korshunov. If you side with Ward in Zalissya you won't be able to get Combatant at all. Lynx you will get either way. Spark does not give any unique weapons.

Only weapon I'm not 100% about is merc, but I think you can find that even without siding with Spark
