it looks normal when you use upscaling. which shouldnt happen.

upscaling should increase framerate at the cost of visuals. stalker 2 somehow managed to do it other way around. its almost as if its designed to look buggy without upscaling

i kind of hoped these 2 patches would have fixed that. i mean. its not as bad as before. before, native graphics almost looks like a white noise washes over the graphics when looking around. but there is still something bad going on

which is weird, isnt it? that fsr 3.1, which is an upscaling method, is a seperate option from all the other upscaling methods. then, to get the fun going really well, you can turn on fsr 3.1 twice. both as an upscaling method, and as a seperate method.

i wonder what the developer thought when they asked their engineer if that was a good idea and he was high on xtc and just said yes.

Well, I use AMD, If I turn off FSR... I get 60fps... Turn FSR at native 1440p, I get between 80-100 fps

And I just found out the Sidorovich is quest bugged...

So great, I know have 4 quest bugs over two play throughs... What's the fecking point

when i go to the performance boost tab on graphics, i see upscaling method. i can turn this on to FSR 3.1. upscaling quality native AA. resolution scale goes to 100.

then, underneath that, i got FSR 3.1. which i can enable or disable. and im like...why are there 2 options, that should serve the same function?

then i can still turn on FSR 3.1.

i can make it even funnier. i can turn the upscaling method to XeSS. which is funny, cause i dont have an intel graphics card.

No Idea, but if you are getting issues, stick with all FSR first, then see how it plays

then tweak it, if it works, and maybe use DLSS and mixture of both...

doing a new playthrough after every major patch. a-life 2.0 was a joke. a shadow of what stalker cop a-life was. and they keep watering it down as "its buggy". they say so in the patch notes. its a bug that the AI isnt helping out other group members. its a bug that they dont loot bodies. its not a bug. it was implemented while being not completely developed.

they coded new features, add it to the game, but say it was buggy in the patch notes. thats now how bugs work, mate

if hte developer cant even be true to its community, how can we trust they actually want to make this game somehing that will last for more than a year

we are in an age of decline when it comes to game creation. developers who keep releasing half finished, badly optimized stuff. im sometimes having more fun playing simple indie games than this. but because they are indie games, their content isnt big enough to last you more than a hundred hours

Like adding pistols and sniper rifles to the "Cool" tree, rather than keeping them in the "Dex" tree, where they belong... Cool, should have been how to influence conversations, and you get bonuses from the cool gear you are wearing etc.

I used to have one of those mice where it had that ball for movement. My brother broke it though so it's long gone.

I think mine still had that middle scroll wheel, it's just that one ball for mouse movement, had regular functions as a mouse otherwise.

On the old mouse (talking around 1990) the three middle buttons where zoom in, zoom out (or change weapon) depending on the game... It was a beautiful thing

i'd dare to say that the last update bugged the artifacts, removing what cooldown they previously had for their jumps so now we have to literally full speed chase them sometimes to catch them just before they land or grab them just before they jump, in a way that feels like you're grabbing them mid jump. it feels bad and that is all there is to say about it. another thing that feels bad.

Yeah. I've kind of noticed the same thing as well. I didn't have nowhere near this amount of trouble trying to locate artifacts in the prior versions. Now, they just leap all over the place the second you start to get close.

On the bright side, combat and enemy engagement is leagues better than it was. It's not perfect, but it is substantial progress in my book. I'm wondering if they are going to continue fine-tuning it.

I kind of agree. There is a degree of artificial difficulty that you notice after a dozen hours or so and it just turns into outright annoyance after a certain point. Absurd damage fall-off over distance, enemy reaction time/accuracy, and grenades hitting you through walls are probably my biggest gripe about the game rn.

The bloodsucker howl is okay when it’s alone but it’s not okay when the game throws 2 or 3 at you at the same time because you literally cannot do anything when one stun locks you and then the others just hit you

I'm kind of disappointed that there isn't a kick attack you can do in melee. It feels really on point to either kick a bandit into an anomaly or kick a dog that's latched onto your ankle.

Maybe even stagger Bloodsuckers when they lunge at you if you time it right.

Serious bruv... Know how in BL3 you have a weak melee that no one use, and on the same button if the anionted is ol eridiand up you can break with with melee. So now imagine being close to a enemy in a window where it's staggered or just close to you running. You press melee and one hit it.

I sorry, I see what you are saying. I could have been more clear. If you are close to a enemy, like in front of it, and have the knife out. Then you can stab it for a one hit. It sounds easy, but you have seen how the enemies run around the whole time.

I want the knife to actually mean something.

Supposedly the knife isn’t weak per say but I think the issue is the cone at which you get when swinging it. Like you basically only have it hit the point in the center of the screen.

I did that once by breaking box 1, then breaking box 2 that also had a RGD and then I hit one, making the other also explode in my face.

It would be really cool if you could toggle off the laser sight for all weapons mid battle. Even if it removes the buffs to compensate for balance, or offers additional penalties. I wanna be all tacticool and "stealthy."

Any sight, to be precise. Issue with iron sights is that they have smaller field of view and lower shot precision. For example, iron sights in SV-98 are really clumsy for a sniper rifle
