I think I'll try keeping Roosevelt alive in my next playthrough. So I guess I would need to speak with him before killing Shah and Varan to get that interaction? Last time I went into his base long after that quest, just randomly looking around and grabbing loot and killing bandits, and ended up killing him too.

i killed Shah before getting the Varon or what his face is, then when it gave me the option to pay, something else or something, i picked else and then i told him i would think about it instead of handing him Shah's PDA and then the quest automatically went to as if i had told him i would go and kill a kingpin so then i could go back to see Roosevelt and he went into dialogue that time so you can do it that way like i did.

When you meet Deggy, at that point much of the Zone is opened. It's probably the Road to Foundation mission. Except for those inaccessible places.

youve got access to the zone after doing the initial quest where you go to Zalissya or whatever it is

well chemical plant will be hostile to you if you dont side with ward, pretty sure its the same with the sircaa base after you pick a side, so you'd get locked out of those two not choosing ward

pripyat doesnt unlock until early late game so you'd have a way to go to unlock that normally

you dont get locked out until a few missions after Pripyat, then youll hit the point of no return and be unable to free roam again

gives you a good idea of whats left

Pripyat unlocks with "The Boundary" which is 7 missions after Visions of Truth, and two missions before Down Below

You'll also be locked out of (atleast) two unique weapons and a unique armor because they are only attainable after the point of no return

Sotnyk (Unique Dnipro, locked to Streloks ending and possibly Scar's? cant remember)

That's what bothers me. It's a whole big location, blocked off, and when we get to it, we only get 2 or 3 mission before PONR.

The lack of side quests (not vendor) but actual missions and side missions in Pripyat itself is criminal. I've found a USB drive with Foundation info, and it automatically completed part of a mission where I look for entrances. Good for speedrunners, but I want more to it. Maybe not to that mission in particular, but overall more missions in Pripyat. For example sabotage Monolith operations, ambush Ward patrols (for those who sided with Scar), etc.

The first has a DMG value of 1.6, Pen of 2.1, RoF of 4.95, range of 2.4 and accuracy of 4

The Sotnyk has a damage value of 1.2, a penetration value of 3.3, RoF of 4.9, range of 2.7 and accuracy of 5

so the Cluster_uck has higher base damage and rate of fire

The Sotnyk has a higher penetration value, better range and is more accurate

youve been underground to the generators - the top layer is also modelled outside of the small portion you visit on the top layer, you can teleport in and there are anomalies all over the place

thus why i said it'll probably be DLC, you dont model things into an area you dont plan on using other than one mission

plus it makes sense to me all three fogged out areas would be bundled together into one DLC, the areas are too small to be a DLC each by themselves

unless half of it is running around places youve already been, with only a portion of it within the new areas

Man, playing gamma has really made me appreciate what GSC achieved with Stalker 2
The amount of loading screens in Anomaly, and the seamlessness of Heart of Chornobyl is a thing to behold

Also, perhaps an unpopular opinion, but I prefer the layout of Stalker 2's map

Having Zaton and the Swamps both in the bottom makes more sense IMO, since they're such similar terrain
The Lesser Zone, Chemical Plant, Burned Forest, and Duga are all welcome additions

The only thing I really miss from Gamma is the variety of optics & guns
I'm currently running a Thales EF88 with a 1-4x Spectre (which I didn't realise was Aussie standard issue), a Saiga-12 Merc, and a P226 with the red dot kit
But my arsenal has a Dragunov, SVU, and RPD waiting for a Type D repair kit; and a load of different guns I keep partially just because they're neat and partly because I suspect a kit may come along that makes them a better rifle

Based on what people have said who have been poking around as extensively as one can in the game's mechanical guts at this point in time, it seems like GSC is doing a pretty foundational rework of a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff. A great deal of the systems and content people expected to be there, which are not, are in fact 80%-90% "there" but either turned off/paused or otherwise nonfunctional, or not ready for implementation. There's a great deal of cut material and curbed/cut systems where the groundwork and most of the additional legwork has been completed, just didn't make it in for launch (for a variety of reasons—optimization is a known justification here, but suspected data loss is also a speculation).

There's a very good chance the game will be very different if GSC takes the time and breathing room to rework and reimplement the most critical foundational elements that they were unable to carry to the finish line, for whatever reason.

On the other hand, money is money and no matter how strong your sense of duty towards a project or goodwill towards the players of your game, it will run out at some point—thus I suspect such rework activities will be fundamentally limited by ongoing operational costs, before ultimately focus will need to shift to prioritizing DLC and similar. Particularly for a game company which has endured well renowned financial hardship in the past, I suspect they will be gunshy about running themselves aground again.
