I have been waiting for stalker 2 for many years, hoping to get a continuation of my favorite game series. I hoped that the new team of developers, if not to say a new word in the genre, then at least fulfill their promises, released a quality game. But instead we got an alpha version. And I'm not talking about the number of bugs that cannot be counted. The game world itself, on the one hand, is filled with excellent locations, but there is no point in visiting them. From the first hours of the game, we are bombarded with tons of vodka, food and medicine. At the same time, weapon repair costs an unrealistically large amount of money, and artifacts - things for which we must go on dangerous quests are worth nothing. The economy in the game is not just broken, it seems to be generated by a machine. There are almost no quests after the first location - this is very sad. The depth that you expect from stalker is almost completely absent. There are unexpected moments, when, for example, I met Valeyan. But I couldn't even talk to him because he bugged. But the saddest thing is the lack of A-life. I will never be able to forgive the game and the developers for this. This feature made stalker special, but in the second part the zone is dead. This is very sad. And now several months have passed since the release, and the game has not changed at all. No improvements, no announcements, no roadmap, no DLC, nothing. Why are you doing this to those who believed in the project? Why couldn't you postpone the game again to release it in a normal state. This is just a slap in the face of the fans.

Stalker 2 does fall really flat on design and mechanics. It really coasts off of asset work and the generally pretty(but full of temporal smearing) unreal engine. I can't even say that for what it offers it is really tightly designed. The values of stats for weapon and armor are all over the place, and suggest minimal playtesting or intrest.

Drowned is awful IMO, VOG-25 is a dead weight compared to a Kharod with a 203

An AG36 would be even better, but that sadly isn’t in the game

VOG and 203 do the same ammount of damage, don't they? And VOG's are more common to find.
But yeah, the AK74 does fall off post-SIRCAA. Not completely obsolete though if you're good at tapping heads and have enough AP ammo for it. The low repair cost compared to later guns give it a use case until at least after Duga.

I’m not a fan of the AK platform, since you lose access to the picatinny mounting platform which provides commonality between the 5.56 Kharod & 5.45/7.62 Dnipro

The Drowned is objectively outperformed by a Dnipro, especially as the Dnipro can accept the 45-round extended magazine while the Drowned is stuck with the coupled mags

And as for the cost, maybe it’s just my hoarder tendencies, but I have 400k coupons pre-SIRCAA so repairing a fully upgraded Dnipro is no big deal for my finances
