Once you use a weapon long enough, the skill curve goes down, and you start getting good at it. Use AP armor for skifs pistol and ur pretty much set. Aim for headshots only, be patient, and dont just spam fire.

I mean, ive wiped the map of nearly every stash and sell every gun i dont already have. Load up on yellow guns, and you can sell broken guns in rostok.

theres also two locations for constant respawning enemies to farm guns off of @last saddle. One in duga at the vehicle park (bandit), one in cooling towners at the skid assembly unit (military & monolith), and the most profitable is in prypyat, apartments near the department store. High level loot monolith.

Basic business operating principles, keep overhead costs down and profits high. Virtually no repair cost + raking in railgun after railgun from monolith is nearly pure profit,

I only started doing the skif's pistol thing before the first patch because prices were so high and questing and selling just want enough to cover repair expenses, so i told myself I was gonna grind up 10 mil so i wouldnt have to worry about armor repair for the rest of the game

by the time they patched it i was alredy at 6ish mil so i just kept going

Ive noticed that too to be honest. Im not sure what determines that.

Maybe if you miss a stash it eventually pops up if you were near it before?

Rostok has always been frame drop city for me in every version of the game

It's been fine for me. Had noticeable frame drops first time I went there (pre latest patch), but it just kinda cleared up by itself and it's not noticeably different from any other area.

for me the main problem with repair costs is not so much that it's expensive (it's for the balance and I understand it)

but just how much the upgrades make it more expensive

I think upgrades should not make your armor 2-3-4 times more expensive

it makes stuff like "wear & tear" almost make no sense, it has a negative ROI. Not only you spend initial money on the upgrade that you will never get back, you're also making all repairs more expensive in the future. It really only makes sense if you have infinite money and just want armor to serve you longer for missions like after Point of No Return, but for 99% of the game this upgrade makes zero sense

You know these frame drops? I have been getting some recently, but not in Rostok though.

A few weeks ago, I got frame dropped in the sewers beneath the Sphere, in Lesser, on my way to meet Soldor.

Then last night, in Tunnel Under Lake, when it dropped from 100fps to 20 fps.

The common factor between both area's was rat swarms and high numbers of npc's or mutants, like rodents...

Other than that, no issues at all.

I wonder where in Rostok the frame drops are happening for people, if it's over by the crashed helicopter, there are rat swarms in the tunnels near by.

One compass makes sense even if you have armor with 5 bars, because the armor breaks and especially in long missions this compass could help you

Seva is free from the Zalyssia mission so I used it a ton in my first playthrough but never even picked up the sunrise so I quickly saved up that beginning 200k and bought + fully upgraded myself a sunrise.

Feels wrong to not pick it up in a playthrough. It's pretty awesome ngl. Sadly only 4 slots and 1 lead container but what can you do
