hoarding is great. i do that too. i have 1 perfect durability of every weapon i can. but with old armor and duplicate weapons its kind of pointless here. but i have a collection of everything else

get rid of your old suits & gas masks & weapons you arent currently using (unless you are collecting the uniques like shahs mate.) very soon you will be able to buy everything you want.

one caveat, keep a suit with high psi protection the spark seva is the one i kept. will need it for a swamp missino (game will tell you, just saving you time).

idk. where are you in the game? if you are early (not equipped for long expeditions) just run the 4 artifacts near lesser zone every time there is an emission.

if you are late, google a good path (i can link you one) and run the loop. by the time you go around the loop once, the emission will occur and the artifacts will reset to continue loop

@clever fiber dont sell ur pdas then. but you dont get a pda for every character you kill. you also gget pdas of characters who you dont kill and arent dead

Replayed 2033, last light and exodus early last year, the stealth mechanics are so good and satisfying and the gunplay was very nice and imo exodus was PEAK, it was perfect. The semi open maps that exodus had should 100% be used in the next metro, only I think they should be a bit bigger with the same linear bits too.

So black matter from Austria made a ww2 iPad that's 50v50 on console it's crossplay and pc by themselves. U have real to life Artillery in the back, u need 3 people to run tanks a driver gunner and commander. Squad leads have access to a command chat with commander who can call in bombing runs and strikes and air heads. U have engineers building up points people running supplies people mining roads. One shot from anything kills you and there is 3 chats, proxy, squad and command. It's very fun

The devs @zenith sedge also used arial photos from ww2 to make the maps 1 to 1 of what they were in ww2 so all the fences and walls and buildings are pretty much as close to real life as u will get

This is not a game for 10 year olds. You'll be running and get cut down from 300 meters by an mg42 for running across open ground. It's very tactical and majority of players are older. I have lots of older guys and military vets who play. Most kids don't like the fact it's 20-40 second respawn times and u have to keep ops (squad spawns set down by squad leader) or Garry's (whole team spawns set by command or squad leads) to resapwn and if u don't got those u might be running for a bit

I don't know if thats in the game, they might make it dlc, I do think they need to change the world a bit and not block of certain areas cause of story unless its absolutely necessary. The fact that prypiat is left as kind of just a endgame story area feels a little off to me but it;s just my opinion.

3d things in games are oragami they're thousands and sometimes millions of folds of a sheet of paper
Typically in a game you have a 'floor' and a 'wall' that is its own individual asset / file

To achieve what he did, he had to merge the majority of these 'files' into one, so he could run nanite (lets call that a paper folding machine) without any kind of real CPU overhead that you'd see in a video game

Theres some really good things in here for sure, but claiming a flat 300% performance increase is pretty absurd

same, if i had the change to chance the game looting, i would create a mode called "loner" (harder than veteran).
Increase the price of red medkit to 1000 credit, 2.5% chance of a stalker, bandit, soldier to have a medkit. Change the amount of of medical boxes found in the world to 1 medical box or even 0 per location. The entire map may have 300 medickit all locations combined instead of how its right now which is 5000 medkit in game.
Food found decreased by 80%. Credit can be looted from corpses in amounts of 50 up to 500.(25% loot chance)

I've noticed turning the headlamp off helps with that and then aiming for muzzle flash. Not sure if this is in the code or I might be tripping.

That helps avoid being seen immediately but after that with their accuracy that approach still necessitates just letting them light you up while you pop flashes in the distance. Shooting at muzzle flashes is the only way to fight at night with how weak the flashlight is anyway

actually the flashlight makes your even more blind at night, because of the eye adaptation thing from UE5, when you have the flashlight on, the vision becomes less adapted to darkness, so outside the 3 meter flashlight reach you see even less than without the flashlight

I rushed in and grabbed an AR with no attachments just for 3 fully kitted NPCs chasing me all the way back to Zalyssa

This seemingly ruined my faction relationship with whoever this was (Ward maybe?) because then my game became essentially broken in a sense anytime I explored I’d have 3 fully kitted soldiers chasing me everywhere I went.

They even attacked Zalyssa trying to kill me for stealing the AR (It wasn’t even that good it was a stock AR 456 or whatever)

Fps is going to relatively the same based on caliber regardless of the gun. Like for my example u might get some extra range and lower decrease in pen over range with the heckler and kosch usc in .45 then the f &n tactical in .45

Yupp, and as it is in vanilla some shorter barrel late game rifles in the same caliber than a longer barreled rifle in the same caliber both hit way harder damage wise and penetration wise or even out damage another gun in a caliber far more destructive than the differences barrel lengths would make. A 74u would be slightly less effective than a 74 irl but it'd be a borderline difference

You dont need 40mm, it just makes the end sequence a lot smoother, you can also get something else explosive if you look around properly and that will fill the same role (in the Duga mission itself)

for me it also breaks immersion - your weapon choice should be situational moreso than it should be stat based

i shouldnt be choosing an AR14 for example clearing a corridoor over an SMG or w/e, as realistically the SMG would ruin whatever is on the other side just as easy as an AR if we take into account how fragile animals are irl

That is my point though. You just want stat sticks. If you balance guns realistically you would just pick the gun with the best balance of recoil and rate of fire for a given caliber. The subjective qualities of firearms such as ergonomics, simplicity, weight and reliability would not be able to be taken into account. Realistic stats in a game would still make people choose guns based on stats.

I agree the people in charge of balance screwed the guns in stalker 2 up big time. It logically makes zero sense. The guns being stat based is not the problem. The problem is the stats that have been given are idiotic. There should be guns within the same caliber that are better than others of the same caliber, but damage should not be one of those areas (given the same barrel lengths).

If it takes me half a mag to drop an enemy/be dropped involving a rifle, balance is bad. I would rather enemies drop in 1-3 rounds for the most part, and likewise for the player.

Gun's don't feel like guns, even at the higher end of the roster, they feel like pea-shooters. This is problematic. Damage across the board (if we ever get Master mode) needs to go WAYYYY the fck up.

Unless enemies and the player both feel properly deadly, its more of a story based environment than it is a survival based one. See how DayZ handles its firearms. You get shot without a plate on by even an intermediate caliber, you fckin die 😂

This isn't even a new problem this was the same thing in the older games which is why most players were lead to believe that Master difficulty was the intended way to play the game, but they also carefully designed the ruble and ammo economies around the difficulties in the earlier games which is something they seemingly completely forgot to do with STALKER 2

Well thats exactly what the problem is, I built a PC for my wife that has the radeon 3060 equivalent, (6600xt) and the hard drive is what causes slow frame times. Upgraded to an SSD and its fine.

many people dont understand that the drive the game is on and the graphics card sorta work hand and hand, in order to load scripts and npc movement, the game reads code off the drive, and hard drives are slower than SSDs by a solid amount.

special forces operate at medium and short range so they kinda need an applicaiton for both. We all know SMGs are usually the way to go for anything indoors, however theyre awful at long range. carbines and assault rifles are good at medium range, and can still be used at short range, although not as effective will still do the job

Weight and thickness are really the only reason. Level IV plates are heavy and the likelihood of being hit with more than an intermediate round or a larger round at a great distance is low .
